If the said 9th gen is in reasonable condition, go for it, it’s a whole world compared with city. Current 10th gen or Grande are way too highly priced, therefore, not worth the money spent.

I have both . 9th gen feels more agile and interior feel along with drive is way better . Go for it !

I have both. While I prefer the 10th gen, and it is definitely an improvement overall, the 9th gen in good condition is not bad by any standards. In the price that you have mentioned, a well maintained 9th gen is a very good decision.

For bumpy roads, I will be honest. Corolla might actually be better than civic. the suspensions are softer in a corolla. Otherwise, I prefer the civic over corolla due to seating position and interior looks etc. (I prefer the Honda styling in cars, over the Toyotas).
Compared to city (I had the city too for a few months), the civic 9th gen is two or three grades higher. Much better. You will not regret the 9th gen (if you get a good car).

If you know the history of that car then it will be a wise decision.
I liked the 9th Generation as compare to 10th (It is my opinion everyone is allow to disagree)
10th Generation and Around 3.5 Million on a local assembled car (think man, there is much variety in this budget)

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. Yes my friend is selling he is a 1st owner of 9th gen and dealer is giving him 2050 but we had a deal so he is not delivering to dealer. I m very satisfied from city very good car but i m tired from stiff suspension. My city have POLO rims with low profile tyres and road grip /control/very good breaks and excellent fuel
Average but due to suspension i m tired now. You are right corolla has very softer suspension but not driving is not good with driver corolla is best . I am used to drive honda since 7 years . I drive corolla but not impressed ️.

9th Gen Civic is now 3-7 years old, so it will be difficult to find a clean car. On the other hand 10th Gen has latest technology and much better drive, but it also comes with some inherent problems, such as failure of AC evaporator, drive shaft problems, etc.
