Drivability/interior/looks, Honda ranks high
Toyota, probably better in re-sale, but the sad fact is, the person driving an XLI, GLI or a 1.8 cruise-watchayoumaycallit- are driving the same car!!!

So if i had to spend that much money, i would go for a Civic.
