Hello .I am relatively new to this forum.I recently experienced an issue with my civic reborn 2006 that the car body although not started for a long time but became quite hot.Upon opening the radiator the water level was low and upon filling the radiator the water started splashing out .A friend of mine said its a gasket issue.Kindly let me know how much is the approx repairing cost? or what else could be causing it?Any guidance would be highly appreciated?I am already getting anxious regarding the hefty repairing cost.Your responses would be highly appreciated
Regards
first go for compression test to know the current situation of engine
First go to some experienced and well reputed mechanic and ask him if he can check the condition of Gaskit. Not every heat up event leads to blown gaskit. In a few cases the gaskit maintains its integrity. If god forbid its a blown gaskit then use genuine parts only and get the job done to utmost satisfaction. It will cause a dent on your pocket but since the job involves disassembling half the engine (till head portion) so it is imperative that parts and ustad ge both are absolutely genuine.
If you are from Islamabad, you can visit us for compression test & then gasket test. If it's confirmed we'll replace the gasket.
Bro water splashing out has nothing to do wtih gaskit, you weee filling it while it was hot so it threw the water put, just get the radiator serviced and the car will be fine,if from lahore i can help you with the work
