Sorry didn't read earlier that it was a pros.....I dont know about vti pros but I previously had a 05 exi pros. It used to give 6-7km/ltr no matter what I did. Got it tuned from several places and did alot of stuff but nothing helped. I guess same applies to the new 1.8 pros civics.

okay ive got 2 in family they generaly give an average around 8 to 9 on long routes. if u drive in lanes, nd ur drive is on small routes, nd a/c switced on on car standing idel, so i guess the average ure getting is fine.

my vitz gives around 10 km/l wen em driving (gali mohalla, ere nd dere grocery)

nd around 12-14 km/L wen my dads drving (defence to s.i.t.e)

well somthng's wrong in ur engine....chk ur electronic coils i thnk thats wat they are called those who are 4 in numbers on top of the engine whr i-vetec is written...i once had one of em outa order n my avg suffered lyk 5-6 km/l n 30-35km in one cng cylinder...chk air filter too....

@irfansiddiqui. if you are usually stuck in long traffic jams, the fuel consumption is likely to rise. Always use original air cleaner filter from Honda 3S. Air cleaners in open market are cheaper but not worth it. Also check if you are using D position on shift. It should give you 9 or 10, I guess.

Dear for Xli it is a bad average. I have early 05 xli and still getting 14 in city and 17 on highways

try to get ur these electric coils checked...i hav a 07 reborn wid 17' wheels n 215 mm wide tires...still gettin 11-13 in city....

Sell your "REBORN" and buy a simple civic.

Thanks for your replies - I visited Honda defense today and had 15k checkup of my car everything is fine nothing is wrong with the engine the manager said ideally you should get 6 - 7 kms within city I am getting 7.5 ..... Secondly i have many reborns in my circle everybody is getting almost same mileage. So who ever is getting high average consider yourself very lucky

yar donno much about reborn but have driven VTI pros 2005. It was giving 13-14km/l. Have baleno too, which gives 15-16km/l (both w/o AC). yours seems quite low since honda engines are known for their good fuel consumption but again, that 1.8L factor should be kept in mind.

i have corolla indus 1.6 Gli..it gives me 11km per liter..
how it can be possible that new reborn car is giving 7km :s

Dude you are driving in Karachi where traffic is much much dense on roads nothing to worry just drive safe. Your car is perfect on long routes check your average you will find the difference.

Because old altis is very heavy on fuel.

by the way old altis was very economical it gave me 9.5 in city and 11.5 on highway (manual)

i kept the car for 3 years and it was the same

Sir it is perfectly normal mileage

for 1800cc engine in city with ac and automatic transmission .....nothin is wrong with ur car i have altis it gives me 9km/litre in city with out a/c in medium to heavy traffic.... on high way it gave me 14 km/litre without ac speed 120 km/hr..its 1200 km driven car( 2009 model)..

almost same averages are seen by civics it all depands where u drive when i drive with in my society repeated short trips less than 4 km average drops to 7km/litre...short trips increase fuel consumption...
