Good threat...but would be last card to be played...after that nothing left....Consumer Courts are good to claim for smaller damages for other matter these corporates companies normally go for appeal system in higher court...then troubles start ....yes if small matter of small shop where both parties in rush they normall in phase...." thora la kur ya da kur Jan churaoo".......you take compensation ...all takes their direction....but in other matters ....I will not advise for settlement in court...they have team of lawyers for them and your case would be just a add-on.....you have to pay lawyers cases fee from own pocket and Khawari of courts is another big issue.....better minat turlay sa kaam nikal lu....Honda and big companies are mafia they have influence....will use delay tactics and Honda Atlas may stop taking your claims as that matter or car is then court issue...pls donot take my advise as making you frightened....my advise would be take step of court after very thoughtfull process seeing our lawyer and judiciary system ....after consulting with people who are in same issue rest you are more sensible than me...you may know that majority of cases in courts are settled out of court...

Please check water level of your car battery once a month, refill it with AGS Battery Tonic to Upper level & enjoy trouble free car start and good battery life.

Please allow me to explain the situation as per my experience...

The issue is with the battery. AGS is also part of Atlas group and their batteries have had some problems with poor reliability and performance. Secondly I think the battery is too small for the car! When the car is off, some functions are still running and that drains the battery. When the car starts the alternator will pump a high amount of energy into the battery based on its state of discharge and this the battery cannot handle. It hence heats up and also dries up. Get a 65 amp hybrid battery from honda.

Secondly the location of the battery is not to my liking and for some silly reason Honda have installed a cover around it. I believe it is to insulate the battery from the engine bay heat but it might just be cooking the battery.

Thirdly, I am of the opinion that a dry battery should not be used. If it is of a sealed type, then it will simply have a high probability to explode if it also behaves in a poor manner in this car!

Last but most importantly, I am also of the opinion that this issue is the cause of fires in Civics lately. After market lights and electrical accessories may be adding to the problem already being faced by the battery. Lead Acid Batteries produce hydrogen and the rate at which this car empties the battery water, I think it is a recipe for disaster!

i dont know this common issue or not i got my civic on 1st April and every 7 days its drain battery water i don't know where its gone . 2 times i faced issue i was unable to start car 1st time i was at home and i get my UPS battery to start 2nd time i was on a service station so we used jumper start . i visited my friend he says its over charging issue and if i go for dry cell battery it will be more dangerous it can caught fire . and liquid battery also will get same problem after replaced . so civic charging system should be fixed . and Honda dealers says there is no problem at all charging is OK .

i was Corolla user since 2013 but i never checked water and everything works fine why on Honda i need to refill it on weekly base ? is it not a quality issue ?

Get it replaced with the hybrid battery at dealership.....problem will go away. Fault is with a batch of batteries.

This is pretty fast rate , I guess change battery with hybrid available at Honda dealership as all new cars are supplied with this

Those who have the experience of doing so, kindly suggest an exact replacement battery (preferably a maintenance free) for Civic X Oriel. There's a lot of confusion amongst several brands and specs available in the market.

I have a civic 2018 1.8, and it has no power at all, the lights are not turning on the car will not even lock and the brake lights are not working either and the brake pedal has gone in and wont press. Is this a dead battery or something else ?
