True, local auto market has its own laws and customer have strange mentality. Turbo is better than 1.8 but the reason of lower resale of Turbo is that a average buyer who is willing to buy a USED car don't want to have chances of problems in his newly bought car.

It was good that Turbo production was halted for sometime otherwise it could be even further low resale based on Demand and Supply concept.

Koito Bi LED Projector Retrofit in Civic X
When i got my civic X, i was disappointed with the poor performance of stock lights. I thought may be that's due to halogen bulbs. So, i tried the best aftermarket LED bulbs available (Photum). Those photums really improved the performance. But i wasn't completely satisfied with the hazy cuttoff and output of stock low beam projector as light tended to fade away on wide highways and roads.
After seeing Koito Bi LED stock performance in our other cars, i wanted something like that.
After reaching out to an old friend @KeiWorks12 (who himself is a retrofit guru) and recently started providing retrofit services in collaboration with BI LED (facebook page), i got my car's Low beam retrofitted from them.
Koito Bi LED comes stock in many cars like Land Cruiser 2015+, Grande FL, Fortuner 2017+ & many more. The Koito Bi LED Projectors which i got were taken out from premio 2018 headlights. The whole setup is plug and play just like stock headlights.
The output is literally miles better than stock projector headlights and Facelift LED headlight. The whole work done is very neat and looks like oem.

I also wanted a different look for the car so got the whole headlight internal chrome trims including the turn signal reflector (have LEDs in trun signal, so no big difference) except the high beam reflector painted in glossy black colour. Now piano black grill perfectly matches with the headlights.

These Bi LEDs are modified to get the maximum attainable brightness and sharp cutoff. So, output is definitely better than stock Bi LED

The Low beam now has a very sharp cutoff with blue outline which looks cool and is much wider than stock projectors or Facelift LED headlights so its best for highway driving. The High beam which is now a quad beam setup (Bi LED High beam and Photum A4 in reflector high) is just superb. As for the results, the output pictures will speak for themselves!

Dear Fellows I am going to finalise purchase of civic. I am inclined towards turbo version but I have few questions from turbo users and your honest feedback. I will be using this car as my daily runner for a daily round trip of 75 plus kms from B-17 to F-6, 5 days a week and Occasionally on motorways if I plan to go out of city. Travel should be on GT road thn Kashmir highway and thn F6. My questions are as under:

Does this car works on normal fuel
How reliable it is. Are quality issues still there?
Can I achieve 200k plus mileage on this car without any major repair and maintenance. Routine maintenance is fine that’s normal for every car.

My current car is at 225k kms, with stock engine, suspension. I always use OEM filters and parts in my car; brake pads, wipers etc. Car has zero issues and everything is stock, engine still in wonderful condition, maintained with Helix Ultra changed at every 10,000 kms With original air and oil filters.

Need your guidance as few Turbos are available as ready stock. If not turbo I may go for a Kia Sportage FWD with little more investment. My current daily runner is a swift, wonderful small reliable car.

Guys please help me on this. Looking forward.

Well if I were you I wouldn’t even think about spending approximately half a crore on a CIVIC when I can get into a different league i.e. Sportage: a compact SUV

Someone buying a used low mileage 2017 Turbo will be enjoying the same league, category and drive in about 15 lakh less than you

Buying a Civic RS for 4.5 million won't provide any value for money, getting a used 2017 model with low mileage, 1st ownership and service history would make more sense if you really need a Turbo. Otherwise 1.8 Oriel 2018-19 would make a perfect work-horse with all problems sorted out even if it has any. If you're inclined towards spending a bit more, Sportage would be a good deal.

You can get a 2018 Turbo and convert it to RS Turbo for less than 2 lac.

I don't have the option of buying the used one, only option is brand new. My main concern is practicality & reliability of the Car. reliability is the main factor, i can't manage and like going to dealerships for repair and maintenance; yes normal routine maintenance (plugs, oil change, brake shoe/pads, filters, wipers etc.) is not a problem as its standard for any vehicle.

Go ahead . Only routine maintenance is required. Since it is relatively new, so no one clocked 200k but people have clocked above 100k.

There're literally 1 or 2 things that need changing. Around 150k for rims and tyres. 20-30k for the spoiler. Shark fin antenna isn't needed since it's already embedded in glass.
