I own a Civic X since 2016, recently I bought a Corolla 1.8 CVT Cruisetronic as a second car and couldn’t keep it for more than 2 weeks. Ended up selling it and bought another Civic X for the following reasons
- The handling of Corolla is horrible after driving a Civic
- The seat contouring of Corolla is flat with lack of body support.
- The steering response of Corolla is dull after Civic
- Interior feel and design is too ordinary and basic in Corolla
- Driving position is not as low and Sporty as Civic
- The seat is smaller than Civic which dodges people regarding more leg room, both the front and rear seats of Civic are 3” longer than Corolla so technically this means Corolla doesn’t have a bigger cabin room but a smaller seat which makes people see more leg space.
- The stability of Civic at any speed is far superior and the car feels like it is hugging the road while the cowrolla felt like just gliding on the tarmac with no road contact when I compared it to Civic.
The overall experience after Civic was not exactly good in terms of driving pleasure. Pre 2020 Civics had slightly hard seats which needed aftermarket poshish for softness but 2020 onwards the seats of Civic have been made softer
The one and ONLY ONE thing I found better in Corolla was the response of CVT
People can call me BIASED or a HONDA FAN so yes I am AUNDA FAN and proud to be. Toyota is responsible for making me AUNDA FAN and everyone has a preference for their taste in cars. Honda is more for my taste, I have tried multiple times to like Cowrollas but every single time end up going back to Civic despite its cons.
