If you wanna have real feel of civic tyre change is a must. BG luxo dont do justice with the ride and better to change under 200km you will get max amount, opt for any imported softer tyre

If you're up for infotainment upgrades the oem international unit is available but for a stupidly ridiculous price (2 Lac 15 thousand) however if you're looking for Android Auto and Apple Carplay, the best thing I'd recommend is to buy any regular android unit which takes your fancy, and purchase a Carlinkit adapter as that will allow you to run apple carplay and android auto on any Android unit, the stock unit is simply rubbish running an 8 year old version of Android

For some reasons DAC in the TW headunit is much better than other cheap chinese units and that is the only good thing in stock TW unit. Other than that it is a crap.

If you are looking for more options go for any good Android unit with Carplay etc. If you want audio quality as well then upgrade to branded one i.e. Pioneer, Alpine, Kenwood, Sony etc.

Yes, but no OTA updates. You have to take car to their office or 3S to get updated. To be honest, those updates are useless too. No improvements after firmware updates.

Does the CVT transmission in civic X transfer more actual power from the engine to the wheels, as compared to the old prosmatic transmission?

Yes. The old Prosmatec is based on a conventional Automatic system and it has gear divisions but in a CVT it is a belt system which variates instead of shifting a gear so the power output is immediately there without any downshifting. Although a lot of people mistake the jerk of a Prosmatec as better response because that jerk gives them a feeling of acceleration but in reality that jerk is wasting time. CVT lacks that jerk hence they mistake it as slow due to the jerk being missing and they think it doesn’t throw you back like Prosmatec 🤣 🤣 🤣

Though these are all family sedans and shopping carts with engines but for the heck of it I recorded a 9th Gen Civic Prosmatec with Oriel X as well and the difference was much more significant despite the fact both cars share same engine. Also the fuel economy on a CVT is better because engine isn’t downshifting and upshifting under the transmission wasting revs and rather picking up pace from whatever range the engine is in.

Im gonna second Ali bhai here and say that yehi baat sahi hai as the prosmatec is a really old 5 Speed from around 2006? or maybe even older in some other models and 5 Gears nowadays is simply inadequate across the entire speed range. The only place where its quicker is off the line as it gets up good only in first gear and immediately slows down in 2nd gear and above. The X's CVT doesn't get up good initially but once it reaches redline its in its maximum power range all the way upto 207 km/h

Changed the battery today as the old one went bust (Daewoo maintenance free worked for 30 months, which i was told is good enough. Dont know for sure though. Got the same thing again). The problem is: After battery change, three lights have turned on in the cluster (the yellow parking break light just above the regular red parking break light, the yellow power steering light and the yellow traction control light). None of these were present before taking out the battery and hence the issue must be connected with the battery change procedure.

(P.S. Ive tried searching this forum but the result is limited to around 50 or 100 posts only and the 'order:latest' parameter in the search box is not working).

Adding to it:

Power loss across CVT is aprox 8%.
Power loss across Conventional Automatic is aprox 20%.
