CNG is a curse...and unfortunately u are a victim of it now!
brother, drive and performance cannot be comparable on cng and petrol alike...when u get cng, u just save a few false bucks but the suffering in lthe long run is much more!

unfortunately the emulator and advancers are being made locally probably in gujranwala
and i have been a victim of this crap just like u, in my idsi city

the catch ............these installers have printed sign boards in shops "no guarantee for electrical parts"
but since i went through a reference, they were kind enough to change it 2 times for free.
third time when it messed up after 2 weeks they asked for money. but again they agreed to split the hit. i just paid 1200 rupees, and so far its working fine

b.t.w i am against hot water connections. can discuss later.
CNG complex is reknowned for there quality and neat fittings. i am sorry they didnt entertain u when u returned

bhai. i have same car. had same issue (RPM) whch are fixed now.

Ap ka RPM ka masala definatley is an issue with advancer. get it checked. (my advancer wa snot working properly which resulted in reduced pick due to one of the chambers not working properly and fluctuating RPM)

Once teh advancer was installed correctley, teh problems dissapeared immedietley.

Rashid saab, i wrote a 500 word reply for u.
the car needs a new emulator/advancer. i am sure u r having the 2 in 1 unit installed

@zee,
at times the kit is located in such a way water pipes have to take a tight bend to connect. if these pipes leak or break u loose all water from the system and might end up damaging car engine
secondly i also heard cases in which kits got damaged with rust from the water circulation.

I am having Landi STAP78 Advancer and Landi LR Honda emulator.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comLahore</st1:place> on Friday and car did 257 in a 55 cylinder CNG fill was from last Shell pump in Gujar Khan.<o:p></o:p>
The remaining problem is of Engine Check light. Surprisingly, I did not have ECL till got gas fill from gujar khan. While coming back, I had fill from Thokar and did not have ECL till getting gas fill from <st1:place w:st="on">Jhelum</st1:place>.<o:p></o:p>
Now I am almost certain that the ECL problem is because of Oxygen sensor. Most of City cars are having Tomosato 2 in 1 advancer and emulator. In addition original Tomosato (from <st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Argentina</st1:place></st1:country-region> only) has Oxygen Sensor emulator. <o:p></o:p>
Separate Oxygen emulator is also available and the guy from Total pump has also arranged one for me for 3500/-. Will get it fixed in couple of days.

One more advise please..

On CNG, should the Petrol fuel Pump remain On of Off?
In my case it remains On even on CNG. I don't think it is required..

i car pool with 2 colleagues. they both have city IDSI 2005, i have city IDSI 2006
all of us are using 2 in 1 tomatsu emulator and advancer. none of us has any check light issues. if something is working right in a certain car, dont know y these installers experiments with different advancers and emulators
plus since i drive on CNG, i removed the CAT converter. still no check light issues.

emulator function is to cut petrol supply to injectors by the way. u dont have to worry about fuel pump

Just to update my experience: In summer my car with AC was not picking up from zero on signals. Went to mech to get it tunned, but while checking, he found that the Advancer cable is CUT in the middle and hidden under the Air Filter box. My Advancer was not installed at all :-(. I checked it my self, it was not wired. I remember, the installer couldn't get my car started after installation. While I was still on driving seat for giving ignitions, he did some thing under the hood and car got started. Now i realized, he just Cut the advancer wires.
Just to make things simpler, now I have installed a new and simpler advancer. not like STAP78 crank advancer. Car is running much better with and without AC.
Folks, my advice AVOID CNG Complex on double road Rawalpindi. his mech are not upto the mark. My brothers Corolla GLI 2010 had CNG from the same and is having blow back problem.
I think, his intallation has some basic flaws.
Remember, bad installed CNG is definitly a Curse

i have similar fraud experience from some other shop (which does not exist thank god)
they guy connected emulator and tapped the wiring leading to no where LoL

anyways ur cars pick and cng consumption should improve now

I bought 2nd hand city idsi 2008 couple of months back and went to CNG Complex for conversion to CNG. Following is my exp there and with the car:

Had Landiranzo kit with Landi Adv and Emu for 40k. Guys did a clean Kit installation but use no protection to avoid any body scrach. Electrical work was also fine and had hot water connections too. Due to CNG load sheding on Sat here in rwp had to travel for CNG fill.

On return car started well on CNG and every thing looked fine till next morning when I started the car. It kept dipping rpm on idling. seem like it is missing a power stroke. Also it does miss on 1700rpm exactly. Can not drive at all on CNG at start. Next morning tried again and had same issue. After running couple of kM on petrol, switched back to CNG and it started running fine but after 5min got check Engine light

Went back to CNG complex and surprisingly the guy said that it is normal and you will get this light because of oxygen sensor in exaust. If you want to fix the problem will have to install another emulator for it and will cost 3500 additional.
This problem was never informed before installation and now got stuck with Check light and RPM issue (only when engine is cold works fine after 3-4km on petrol)

my car has done only 29000km and should not be a problem with accelerator body or anything else.

Check light solution is understandable but should have been told before starting installation.

RPM issue can be because of faulty installation of Adv.

Car runs fine on petrol.

Just wanted to share my experience and may be some advise too.

Is it Vario or manual?

I've got same car same model with manual gears and its been more than a year I didn't even touch the setting of CNG and the car is doing gr8 on CNG... There is not a single issue Masha Allah....

As Hash4u mentioned please make sure you've original advance, emulator and they are properly connected...

There shouldn't be any issue like dropping RPM, car dies on CNG etc.. there would be only minor difference of pickup as compare to patrol and thats justified....

Can you start your car directly on CNG? have you got a cng convert switch like santro GV?

I don't have it and my car starts only on patrol and it won't convert to CNG till I press the paddle to achieve 3K RPM..

price of Emmulator for civic 97 i am having a faulty emulator becoz it does mix gas and petrol sometimes and get my car shut off. and then agian and agian mix mix...

My car is running fine now. Went Lahore on weekend and gave me 200 km in a tank with Lahore CNG and 100% AC on.
I am satisfied now.

kindly mention the solved issue........ i think the emulator just vanishes the check engine light

the reason to that is there are fuel input sensors in the IDSI
thats how the car actually controls millage

now when its on CNG, no petrol is comming so the check engine light is ON

the emulator as the name suggests, only EMULATES the ecu that fuel is incomming so that light vanishes, i think now adays the advancers and emulators are in one unit, a separate emulator must not be more than 1000 to 1500 rupees

dont know what prob people have with cng its economical with no bad effects for future
i used 3 idsi manual with cng never ever check engine lite turned on
even dont have n e prob with vario

The Check Engine Light problem on CNG is only with cars having Emission Control system (Euro standards compliant). On Petrol and CNG exhaust composition is different and the Oxygen sensor on exhaust gives indication that there is something wrong with fuel. City IDSi 2006 and above may have this problem. Also note that Tomosato Lavato 5cip has built-in emulator for oxygen sensor but most of Tomosato available in market are China/ locally made.
