CNG related problems

Thankyou so much for creating such an awesome thread fyq! It really is turning out to be very helpful for so many users over here.

I have a very serious problem and I hope you would be able to help me out with it. I recently bought a daewoo racer in very good condition. The car is working perfectly except one MAJOR issue, its really eating CNG like a pig. I mean its only giving me a mileage of 40kms on 200rs CNG on local and w/out ac!

I tried getting it tuned but still the same result. Then finally someone referred me to a CNG workshop near hyundai showroom in I-10, the mechanic seemed to be a good expert, he changed the Tee (used for adjusted the gas) saying it was not closing completely. But after that my problem is still as it is. 50kms max on 200rs. I took my car to him again, he says that you are measuring you mileage incorrectly.

What I used to do was let the gas finish, fill it up with 200 rs and check how many kms it took to empty again. The mechanic has now told me that your will have to fill up the cylinder completely and then check your average for a full cylinder. Is he right? Is it possible there is some problem in the kit? What can I do? Please help.

I am going to a site in NWFP for a week so I will check this forum when I return. I hope you will help me resolve this issue.

i have been using 99 model vitz for over an year
i was out of country for about a month..came back recently
the problem is the check engine light is permanently On...morover the car dies on cng specialy on a/c,on a/c if u have more than 2 persons on board then whenever i press the acc the car turns off...
driver took for tuning 2 weeks back,now he's on holidays and the vitz has become a headache

slow mixture and point gap isnt set correctly.

it will cost u around 50K .with fybre cylinder weight reduces approx 20 kgs and 7000rs extra for fybre cylinder.these rates can fluctuate and will 100% guarenteed original components.

lamba is an enhancement,u can say an extra thing, but no one can here give its its real after sales spares and service.it only control oxygen flow in gas, and as it is not common ,so selling price is very higher.normally in opur country,we are usiing such type of gas tht our car needs adjustment after every refilling....so the point is for a very less resulting performance,lambe is really very expensive...i can assure u with equal results without installing it.

gap shud be around .8 mm, tell me plugs name and cc power of ur car, and is it using point or megnet system???

dun worry man, its not a very big issue.... first assure tht air intake is 45 % closed, if yes thn show me ur car any day,otherwise block it 45% and thn adjust its gas..

I have a Honda Civic VTi 2001 Auto. Its giving me 65-75Km MAX. What do you think should be the average for the car? Secondly, there is a noticeable jerk when the car shifts gears on CNG. Can you suggest a solution.

hey FYQ, yeah he advanced the car from the advancer.. the car was fine for a day or two after that.. i saw alot of white smoke out of the silencer next morning.. and in the evening the engine sounds like a monster GHEEN GHEEEN :|.. what could be the reason? much thanks

too low, adance ur car and reduce plug gaps(consdering other things are properly set). adjust air mixture as well.

Bough at Altis A/T 2nd hand with CNG.
Problem is i don't get more than 80-85km mileage on one tank.
Advancer, emulator and all are installed. I check the tyres air pressure regularly. New air filter recently installed.

The past few days i have been very gentle with the car. No ac whatsoever , haven't gone above 60km/h and today its done 41km and already 2 lights down.

This is my first CNG car and i have 0 experience.

But anyway Plugs Brand is DENSO long tip. Car's 1300cc and yap it is magnetic/electronic ignition. To be Exact it is 82' Corolla Twin Squish 4K Engine.

salam agian,, i have a landi renzo emulator but i dont know any shops here because i am new here. what kind of advancer do i need and where can i get it from. again the car is 2005 civic 1500cc landi renzo kit and emulator. averge 90-110 km in city with ac.

Hey it wasnt cam shaft..it was actually the generator bearing.. anyhow the adjusted in the advancer wasn't working..so i got it replaced..now the thing is my car is missing on CNG.. the mechanic said the current is weak 'kaheen pe sparking ho rei hai' got the current checked and the plug cables...they'are okay... now the mechanic doesnt have any idea why it is missing, wot cud be the reason?... and thanks for all the help
