CNG related problems

Dear FYQ, I need ur suggestio.
Whenever i start my car on cng on cold engine, it starts after long self and then it stumbles and does not take race , even after pressing pedal fully, and then after 10 to 15 seconds it gets smooth, it does happen after more than one hour parking.but on petrol , there is no issue.I have cultus 2005 carby.

when i make the distributor equal(neither advance nor delay) car pick gets gone although mileage is good and same is with the opening of air cleaner i.e. by opening it to 100% car starts to vibrate badly
IMO this blocking and advancing technique is for engines having bad compression i.e. bad stem seals and rings which kills mileage and its not required for healthy engines.......????

haven't done anything with plugs, checked the plugs they were fine and also replaced it with new ones last week.
Car pickup is good even on CNG it was good but once it comes to acceleration then I feel delay reaching 6500 RMP, I get a chocking feeling.
I finished a tank with 60% - 40% supreme and HOBC respectively and the reserve fuel light appear @ 270 Kms and I drove it below 2500 RMS mostly @ 2000 RPM.

Hi Fyq,

My car (94 Corolla) recently developed a problem which appears only on CNG. On petrol it works fine. When I give it race it does kind of missing. However, when the car is cold in the morning, the problem doesn't appear. A mechanic I showed it to suggested to change the plug wires. I haven't changed those yet but I plan to do that today.

I am also looking to get my kit service and tuned up. Could you please pm me your phone number or shop address.

Asalam-o-alaikam, dear i have purchased honda city 2007 model few days back.... it shows check engine light when i start the engine. The light comes 2 to 3 seconds after i start the engine. I have heard it may a problem of O2 sensor or any wire connecting it....is that so???
Plz plz help me resolving the issue

Dear fyq,
I have an 06 Liana with FF CNG.
It had been pretty trouble free, recently I have noticed that it switches back to Petrol while running on the CNG occasionally, though there is CNG in the tank. I cannot convert it back to CNG till I actually stop and turn off the engine for a while.
After that it could be converted back to CNG, but occasionally repeats the whole process agian.
Help would be appreciated.

brother..i have santro 2008 exec GV model with factory fitted cng...

its cng lights are blinking all the time..mechanic says its guage problem..buy new guage in 2500Rs....so kinndly help me in this regard..

also is it possible to start it on cng?or every time it will start on petrol and then automatically shift to cng?

I have city 2004 I-DSI at stand still position on CNG and when i on my AC the RPM is dropped from 700RPM to 200 to 250RPM, I checked my car to CNG repairing person but he didnot adjust it and tell me to do the tappet but when it is on petrol there is no issue like CNG please advise me, My car spend 69000KM till to date.

no no bro its no problem actually its the time taken by oil pump to circulate the engine oil as its done so engine light goes off......so no problem..........chill bro

I have cuore 2003 model aftermarket CNG. Landi Renzo kit
I wanted to ask that what is best timing for CNG on cuore as it seldom runs on petrol, iave heard u can advance it as much as you desire bu talso heard that fully advance will ruin tour engine somehow.
And secondly my cuore is not adjusting correctly on CNG. It is either acceleration or high rpm. currently i have to set it a bit of lag in acceleration so it can reach high rpm but i guess mixure is lean and engine runs ridiculosly hot. engine almost over heated two times in just 30 minutes of driving.
So what is causing the problem . i dont trust mechanics here.
Any and every help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance

My car santro when stop on Signals, after 5 seconds its RPM shoot up for 5 seconds and then come back to normal, then if the signal is long the RPM sometimes shoot up again for 5 seconds. this behavior is shown always on Petrol, and sometimes on CNG. what is could be the possible problem? thanks
