it is the non return valve that comes with the CNG kit but i have seen cars in pakistan that dont have it and the fitters save it for reselling..........plz insist on getting it fitted ......

so that the spark doesnt fly to ur arse

Few years back my cousin witnessed a truck driver filling Air in his truck's wheel on ground and he filled it so much that the tyre exploded so hard, the Rim made the brains of that truck-driver out, the scene was horrible.... bechara truck driver died instantly... your views on this ?
And kindly update me with Incidents involving CNG in Pakistan... these really will be informative for me as I have just heard about one incident where the compressor itself exploded at a pump.... nothing else !

A car on CNG gives you the economy of a 125cc bike but after seeing these horrible pics, i will sell my car and buy a motorcycle as i cannot afford a car on Petrol bhai... waisay carrying your family on motorcycle is alot safer on Pakistani roads

The point you're trying to make is? If there's a million cars on CNG the rest are ALL on gasoline lest you forget. Even the one's on CNG are dual-fuel. You're saying just because they havn't gone up (yet) that they're safe? How many gasoline related accidents have ou heard of. I'm sure the cars' using gasoline far surpass the NGVs. I'm sure even you have 1/4 of presmuim in your gas tank right now. Compare damage from a gasoline explosion in a car and then compare this damage. I'm not an explosives expert, but even the GM faulty gas tank law suite had less graphic damage!

Blame the mortalities on the road and other drivers just because you're too preoccupied or could'nt be stuffed wearing protective gear. You're wife/girlfriend should ride side-saddle because its more socially acceptable. Screw safe!

either these exploded cars have two cylinders installed or it is something else......it seems like gas accumulating in the trunk during high presuure filling/leakage and something igniting it up and that gas bursts leaving the car wide open.

we use gas in homes too and that is equally dangerous as one of our friends had their Air-conditioner flown to 12 feet out of the wall as their son turned on the power at the socket cozing a spark that ignited the already accumulated gas ........although he was lucky to survive but the room had its walls weakened.......

i have heard that their are burst discs in the cylinder and if UK and italy are making it that i believe have the strickest safety standards of all world then i dont thnk that is the main reason of these mishaps

Note the Gas Cock in the last pick. The gas is stored at extremly high pressure. Somwhere in the vicinity of 3000+psi. I believe the smallest damage would be catastrophic.

A lot has been said and heard about explosions involving CNG. Scary though but running on fuel, with increasing fuel prices, will make people starve to death. Can Fli_Gti bro mention which country these accidents have taken place. If he has the pictures there must be some post accident reports on what actually happened or may b v should request NAT GEO INVESTIGATES to do some investigations and telecast it. No offence meant to CNG/petrol users/lovers. May Allah Almighty keep all of us away from any accidents be it CNG/petrol car or motorcycle drivers (Ameen).

I've been searching for the accident reports but havn't come across any yet. The Accidents are in Brazil (first two) and the last in Mexico.

c123 the station that you mentioned regarding an exploded compressor, well I had a chance of visiting it. The compressor did not explode actually the Gas line being supplied to the station by Sui Gas depot. had a leakage due to which that explosion took place.
Regarding CNG cylinders exploding I am confused as technically this is almost impossible.
Any how I agree with kkoool that Cylinders seem to be intact in most pictures.

it doesnt mean that u are safe if u drive on petrol let suppose if u are driving ur car with a cng car on ur left or right and suddenly a wirig fault has been occured in the car and tha car blasts u cant safe ur self from these type of accidents
