After paying fort entry ticket, we walk towards fort. Fort is located in the center of the village and surrounded with houses and cottage industry. We see many local women working there on wood pieces to convert them in beautiful & fine handicrafts.

When we use word "Fort", first thing came in our mind is huge structure like "Lahore Fort" or "LAL Qila" etc. But for Gilgit Baltistan, this concept is totally different. Only 3/4 rooms and a kitchen built with mud and wood called "Fort". Altit fort is example for that. I was unable to take proper picture as there is no space to stand for proper framing.
