Complete guide on buying a used imported car

This thread is really informative. Your knowledge about these auction sheets is highly appreciated.

I have one question although.. I dont really care if the car is accidented or repainted as long as no ordinary person can tell the difference. My main concern is the Engine and the Suspension. I recently bought a Passo 2012 Model RA Grade car (will upload the auction sheet soon, although i believe its been tampered with). It is a smooth car and gives me 15-17 km/l with AC (mind you i travel fairly short distances at a time). Should I be concerned? Because am having second thoughts now.. Any advise will be appreciated

Very informative thread it is. I used search feature to find Motor Vehicle Tax (MVT) and Withholding Tax (WHT) in this thread but couldn’t found any information. I have visited following Excise web site but it does not have information relating to used car’s registration and WHT.

In addition, I found following document Import of Vehicle Taxpayer’s Facilitation Guide (TPFG)

it says, “Under the “Special Regime” the taxes are levied on the basis of engine capacity, irrespective of the value of the vehicle and the optional or additional accessories. The accumulated amount of taxes, covering Custom Duty, Sales Tax, Income Tax and Capital Value Tax based on engine capacity, on import of the used vehicles meant for transport of passenger”.

My questions are could you please tell me how much I will have to pay at the time of registration of Vitz 1000cc with respect to
Motor Vehicle Tax (MVT) and
Withholding Tax (WHT) – as per TPFG I have impression that no amount has to be paid.

its vitz 2011.which still in shipping area.
guy asking for 13.5 lac.
