Confused b/w Thai model Vigo or local Vigo champ

Thai vigo feels more powerful and 'well built' than its local counterpart, especially the turbo timer one. However, as usmanghani555 explained brilliantly, the cost/age factor does come into play.

Then again, neither of them shall even be 25% as comfortable as the Grand Ax-G.

i bought a 2012 model vigo last year. it had only 17k km on odo. i bought it from sukheki (one hour drive from lahore on motorway). i was very happy to drive it on the local road. when i entered motorway and crossed 100km/h speed, i felt the under power thingy. it just wouldnt go above that speed with ease. also, the road grip wasnt up to the mark. sold it the very next day after reaching lahore

i am driving a 2007 model vigo invincible these days. it was imported in pakistan in 2010. i drove it till kotli sattian (hilly area) yesterday from lahore. it was raining and the road isnt that great. loved the drive. same happened on way back to islamabad.
today i have just arrived from islamabad to lahore and it rained all the way. the speed never came down from 140km/h although the rain was pouring heavily. the average i got is 31.7miles per gallon. i have spent zero ruppees on maintenance.

you can in no way compare the power, road grip and comfort of both vehicles.

given a chance to vote for one, i will always vote for an imported vigo.

on the other hand, new is new and has no comparison.

why do people buy a new mehran and not a used cultus??

My company has a lot of thai and local vigos. and of every model. The pakistani ones not more than an year old have started making noises esp behind rear seats and rear wheels area. their assembling is poor. whereas the thai vigos are flawless. I am not talking about one badly assembled hilux / vigo. most of the Pakis are that way.

Another "Goodman" stuff. I've kept and driven both the vehicles. Technically there is no difference in suspension of both Pakistani and Thai vigos so if you "feel" any difference in grip or ride comfort that is just another "Goodman Feel."

Pakistani vigo is definitely less powered in comparison to a 3.0 Thai Vigo. But you pay less and that too for a new vehicle. Thai second-hand (re-conditioned) vigo if you are lucky you can find a good one but most of them are with tampered meters and no maintenance history. Also no heater so forget any snow season visits to northern areas. Choice is yours though.

The company my dad works in has around hundred Hilux of all variants and made. Ive driven the local Vigo Champ V and G variants.
To be honest, they are no better than donkey carts.

Im not saying that thai model would be as comfortable as some boeing jet but it would be alot better than the pakistani made vigos.

Yet people see them as luxury cars. I hate them all. such uncomfortable rides. seats are so uncomfortable. no road grip. also poor in off-roading due to weight distribution, suspension etc.

if by chance you feel it is underpowered, add a bolt on front mount intercooler which adds 15-18 hp, or get uni chip which adds 45hp.
Dont get a 4 year old car for a much higher price.

Yes it has a turbo, it is a d4d turbo non intercooled
