why not make it remote controlled with a wireless remote and use a professional gamers' steering instead

Thing is, when you are turning right (using the added steering), the upper band is the puller and when you are turning left, the lower band is the puller. PHYSICS PULLEYS 101.
There is no rocket science, it will work. We are more concerned about the practicality of this system
