Sygic is indeed, amazing software for movement on major roads, and will even tell you the locations of road-side dhaabas, enroute! However, you MUST be warned: its capabilities as an off-road tool, are VERY limited. It does not adequately map off-the-beaten-track areas, and there are a great many "blind spots" which aren't mapped, either. Cantonments are one such area. Places bereft of major roads are another.
It's a terrific tool for on-road travel, though.
If you have serious off-road plans and have an Apple device, a good idea could be to install Motion-X GPS, and download all the maps you need. It offers Google, Bing, and Motion-X map options as downloadable material, which are stored onboard, and can be easily accessed offline.
