Dear Sir @Xulfiqar, there are some information available online where people say to adjust the ratio of water and antifreeze/coolant concentrate according to the climatic conditions of the area. This means that the ratio should not be always 50:50, it must be altered like 60:40 or 70:30 (water : antifrerze/coolant).
The reason they quote is that the cooling feature is contributed solely by the water contents in the mixture and not by the antifreeze/coolant, while the later prevents rust and freezing only.
To me this information may not be correct, had it been so there would have no reason for existence of premixed type coolant/antifreeze.
Premixed type coolant/antifreeze clearly states on the label that do not add water, the mixture contains water and antifreeze by 50:50 ratio. To check this, I tried to search labels of different premixed type brands and they all say the same thing i.e., do not add water. Moreover as a practical example, we have abundant of Japanese cars (Japan is much colder than Pakistan) here in pakistan, people buy and drive them with whatever coolant filled in the radiator with no issues of heating up etc., no one actually cares to readjust the ratio of water.
Your expert opinion is sought on this matter.
Thanks
