Coolant Damage the Engine Block?

since after suggestion from Xulfiqar am preparing coolant in bottled water and have no problems either with rust / or running in summers. Osaka or Fuchs preparation is 60:40 ratio

Isn't ZIC's supposed to be a 'long life' coolant?

So what're my coolant options here considering cost, quantity, time till next change?

seems like you used cheap coolant, you should use caltex

the walls erode by process of cavitation - which is usually started with air pockets and plain water in the cooling system.

I mean these two walls. whatever touches inner wall, touches outer wall too. am i missing something?

yes coolant touches both walls, but the cylinder wall is also experiencing firing shockwaves from the combustion chamber (if you could look deeper you would see that only the top portion erodes away and not the bottom - that is because the force of the combustion is highest at the top)

the firing shockwaves create "implosions" which are deadly to soft metal like alumnium here. Coolants have additives in them that change the tension properties of the coolant liquid to prevent this.

you must have used the green dyed water

personal experience with osaka, its corrosive to the radiator. causes leaks..

i used fuchs premixed coolant now..

i know no one use silver as block. its is silver color which gives this name in pakistan and if i use almunium word someone also comment on this. in electronic soldering we also use silver soldering but i know its not silver but its color is somewhat close to silver as it contains low lead .
still my answer is pending . did alto vxr 2007 has iron or almuniun aka silver block. answer quickly as i am using green color coolant

The 3 cyclinder G10A will do this no matter what you do. Once it's head turns there is no solution except to buy a margalla 1000 japanese head from sher shah. I know this because we had to sell our 2000 model single owner cultus back in 2009 because we were fed up of changing gaskets, radiotors, hoses and what not...the car just did not want to correct itself.

i used osaka coolant in my margalla nd it caused leakage of the pipes.. haha from then i never used any coolant..

The mechanics these days do not fit headgasket, by properly facing check of head or using good quality silicon for it.

They use their fingers and X ray eyes to check head facing.

I faced the same bi monthly head gasket failure in the past, due to which i had to overhaul the engine.

The solution was to check its facing with proper equipment and use good quality silicon and coolant.

After it, it's been almost 6 years with 110,000 km on the same head with same engine (overhauled by my Dad's friend), not a single head gasket has been changed, despite of few heatups (upto 55-60% heat gauge).
