They go by the books, They launched Yaris prefacelift too.

Suzuki launched Swift as a facelift in Pakistan in 2010
Honda Launched City in Pakistan as a facelift in 2021 aswell.

Induses strategy is better to offer some change in 3 to 4 years rather then dragging the same thing for 6 to 8 years as seen in Swifts case. With Citys facelift honda doesnt has much cushion for adding a facelift

Yeah could be , as it will be preferred vs cross too but i still doubt they will launch 12th gen. Because agar kerni thi hybrid ker detay...

I also have doubts about 12 gen launch because it will kill cross as it's price will probably be same to civic.

even cross price is almost same as rs civic.

globally corolla sedan equal to cross, actually even expensive in some cases. Civic Corolla and cross all are in $30k range

Malaysian prices as they have 12th gen. Pakistani cars are closer to Malaysian models. Civic is most expensive, reason only Honda knows but here is the breakdown. Cross is cheaper than sedan even the hybrid model vs Sedan's petrol.

@fastian04 don't you think a rightly priced hev civic could capture a significant portion of the hev market of pk??

I believe HEV civic is a great option too but it's price will be 120 easily.. and as an added disadvantage, fan boys wala keera sales kharab keray gana.... Tune ups etc is major charm .. tha reason non hybids are selling all over too. Plus it's 2000cc.. add taxes etc too. Corolla Sedan will sell better than cross any day..its has way better stance and space.

Hmmmm....... Your right and at 120, there's haval. A very tough competitor.

Sedan buyer will still buy Sedan but problem is Haval selling 250 cars a month. if Honda sells same number of hybrids a month, it wont be sustainable as setup is 10x bigger. HRV hybrid would be better anyways as its 1.5. Unless we get cheaper hybrids, not many can fancy something as being the hybrid

Our sales are very less compared to that of India ROI per unit sold is very less in Pakistan.

I agree. I visit PW to gain some new or interesting info on cars that is not in my hood but in the neighborhood and beyond.

Suzuki sold 8076 Alto cars in India in Nov23 and instead of the Corolla sedan Toyota developed the Hyryder Crossover exclusive to the Indian car market and it is doing well with the local preference for SUVs more than sedans.

p.s. i wonder what the new Corolla will price at in pak market?.

I wish Indus .motors makes use of the TNGA chasis and bring this maybe in small numbers but this would definitely be "Just like a wao".

People spending 50 million on AMG conversations this would something authentic out of the box.

I assume a 12th Generation petrol Corolla Altis should be starting at 7.5 million for 1600cc base variants tops 8 million PKR ish.

Indian market didn't embrace Civic and Corolla as good as they were embraced in Pakistan.

What I have seen is A and B segment sedan cars are more appreciated in India.

Pakistan still has significance for Corolla, Even after Yariss launch Corolla topped sales charts.

People who go for AMGs (or desi conversions) don't cross-shop hot hatches. This car is targeted more towards Type R crowds and older Lancer Evo/Subari STi groups. Even if they launch it in PK, it will be a dead investment for Indus from day zero. The potential target market size and volumes simply no not exist here to even remotely justify the business case.
