Corolla 2015 GLi Average Problem

My civic avg meter shows 7.6.....yes 7.6

its a brand new car, very rare chance of anything serious being wrong with it ke it affects mileage.
drive and enjoy it. I hope there isn't any other issue with the car. If not, chill out and enjoy it

my 1.3 GLI A/T even after 1st tuneup is not going more than 10.5-11.0.. now i am getting worried as it has crossed now 11000km and still the fuel average is same

I think its fine as its 1.3 Gli a/t, my home car 1.3gli a/t doesnt go above 10km/L within city traffic drive....even i sent it to toyota dealer they said its fine

Calculate it by full tank method not by what meter says about avg

Don't worry.
It's 11.5 km/liter for whole 10000km. It includes Idling time, inside city drive, over speeding etc.
Reset your average on each tank fill manually.
In Japanese cars average is reset automatically on every tank fill.
But u have to check your car average at different constant speed.
Reset the average during long drive and drive on ECO mode ON. Remember to check ur tyre pressure (32 psi).
On 30 psi average will be less. For this test on motorway 32 psi is good. But on damaged roads 30 psi is good.
To reset average to 0, press the odometer push button for 5 seconds when average is displayed.
For example if u r driving on motorway at 100kmph then during driving reset the average. Then drive at 100kmph for 5 minutes then check the average.
After 5 minutes drive at 80kmph and reset the average during driving and drive for 5 minutes at 80kmph.
Repeat these steps at 60 and 120kmph.
At 60kmph if your average is more than 15kmph then its ok. Don't worry.
Average depends on driving style. Press accelerator very smoothly, Use less break and avoid car unnecessary idling and drive on ECO mode.
If it's steep road, drive on gear 2 or 3.

I have drove it upto 3000 KM now it's GLI AT and on highways I get 11.3 or bellow fuel average.

I am not satisfied I think I should be getting more than this.

* Also I need expert advise, should I put Mud Flaps or not? I have bought them but I think they aren't important to put on the car what do you guys say?

By the way, my friend is using Honda civic reborn with 16km/liter average on long drive.
I think in pakistan honda is better than toyota and suzuki.

Today I checked it as I started a.c 3 weeks ago so now it dropped to 8.7 ...now this is pathetic
My GLI 2015 has been driven 10453 km driven ...
Now what should I do ? Any suggestions

I keep tyre pressure of 28 and 30 is it not good?

Just sell this gli and buy Honda fit shuttle hybrid, it is an excellent car which is giving me average in city 18 to 20 and on highways 20 to 22 km/lit. It is with full options which Toyota even do not have in grandi

The photo of my 2016 corolla altis 1.8 cvt-i is attached here, and this was the fuel consumption I got all the way from RahimYarKhan to Lahore. Being a new car it was giving me 16km/l

Bro, you have made a worse choice by buying this variant, it isn't economical because engine is already small, and after putting ancient automatic transmission on it, it lags a lot.
This is a simple Power to weight ratio issue.

PS: My car was only driven 400-500km at this moment

I have Gli At almost 3K on ODO. and i am getting 9 to 10 in city and on highway its abt 12 to 14 with light foot. Is it normal? Should i use iridium plugs or sythetic oil in it as oil change is due? Suggestions please
