195-60/R14 looked very small (i.e. short) on the Corolla. It just looks odd........ 195/65 R 14 will be slightly bigger (i.e. taller) than the original. Also since it is a higher profile (65) I am expecting a slightly more comfortable ride.

You are right about the shocks that original are not available but you contacted the right people but still be careful as they too buy the part from open market and sell it to you on double price if unavailable in stack.Best will be a person living in dubai,Japan who can send it to you from there.

As for the tyre size,Japanese Corolla S 2002 our shape had tyres 195/65 R15 which is max recommended size for this model.I will recommend you Yokohama C-drive 195/65 R15 with italian 15'' alloy rims

Update:

Finally got 195/70 R 14 tires. Hope to get them installed/balanced today. Will see how it effects the ride. I am excited.

The ride got better, but only with tire pressure of 23psi. I thinks its too low, but I dont know what to do.

I know its low, but that where I get a comfortable ride. At normal psi 28-30 its rough ride. No comfort untii the tire starts showing a small belly.

in karachi its hard to get a smooth ride no matter which car u drive, which tyres u use, it soon becomes rough!!!! my experience
