Corolla cross drilled brake rotors

guys im planning to upgrade my gli 07's front brakes to cross drilled rotors
suggestion and comments are welcomed
these are my options for the time being

if yr buying branded stuff, that should increase braking power,,

what about the corolla guy driving behind you?. are going to buy a set for him too or gonna keep spare rear bumper?..just kidding:)

@JZ... definitely brake power will increase. Also it will reduce the heat of overall brake system.

You want for look or performance? Pads wear fast on Drilled/Slotted rotors. I will recommend you by EBC.

i think the corolla in usa had 5 lug wheel/hub design... if this is true than the ones made for that wont fit our 4 lug design, though the links you have posted have 4 lug design in pictures

Yes the only benefit for these is heat reduction which will help in better braking

be wary when using ceramic brake pads- they need to get VERY HOT to be effective, meaning they are useless in city everyday driving.

I dont think so that it need to get very hot to be effective - however it also perform good when it get very hot -

As these are designed for the purpose to reduce heat - thats why even after repeated hard stops it performs better.

When cold, ceramic brakes may squeek but once it warms up, it works fine even in city routine driving.

But as you said that its useless in everyday driving - YES, there is no need of it in normal conditions but @JZ always do experiments, so lets wait for the result

I have tested these - any brake material has its application, and ceramic brakes were being used in heavy duty trucks since ages. They work effectively when hot - meaning very long high load braking. The reason they got so succesful in racing was that the cars apply severe brakes and heat them up. Their application requires an environment where they will severely heat up - infact regular brake pads would cook themselves to fire in applications where ceramic brakes are required.

Using them in normal city feels like your brake pads are made out of rocks - your pedal feels solid - but there is very low braking.
