No bro didn't change the tires, I think stocks r going good... hav tried them on last xli also.. and especially on this 11gen soft suspension I think no need to changed them..What abut u?

Yup bro changed same day i received the vehicle, experience is good with new ones...low noise & suspension is even softer than before

Car has done 6000+km....i changed the oil at 5000km, using 5w40 shell ultra fully synthetic....acceleration got better than before but fuel average is not going above 9km/L within short distance city drive but on long drive it went upto 10.5km/L
I will send to toyota central or toyota south for checkup

brothers can we opt for aftermarket oils (which i suppose are better than toyota own 20 -50 petron) in new corolla. doesnt it void the warranty?

does warranty require maintainence visits to dealership or we can get the car fluids changed as per our will from the place of our liking with better oil?

Warranty is void if you do not follow the maintenance at 3S

Bro I am using Valvoline 5W40, and didn't know about the oil filter thing that genuine is only available at dealership. Can we buy the filter from the dealership separately?

I am using 5W40 in my GLi and have used it since Day 1 in my 2006 Lancer as well, performs extremely well Alhamdulillah. In my view one should not starve the car for good lubrication.

They had genuine oil filter of Civic surprisingly
So the most of the good pumps have both qualities malaysian and genuine toyota / honda both

Ahmed I have mentioned before that u can easily find original oil filter from any good reputable petrol pump or even in mkt, even I changed oil n oil filter from Shell pump.....the thing u get it cheap n get ur work done in 30mins if there's no waiting rather then sending ur car at the Toyota dealer for few hrs

Guys i booked 1.3 gli auto , after observing threads of members , especially innocent devil , but i just met a friend he said gli 1.3 is going to give 9 avg , and i should change it to 1.6 auto , for better mileage and pleasure , i want to keep a car for 1.5 years max i think altis will be very bad in resale , please help me out with ur suggestions

For just 18 months
Gli manual or auto is the best car for you
The best thing about this variant is no loss or slight profit at the time of selling
Avg depends brother ,
Its between 9 to 13
My car idles alot with ac on for atleast 2 hours daily in my garage and drive is around 60 kms daily mostly short trips of 10 to 12 kms
Average in these conditions varies between 8.7 to 9.5
Whenever i drive it without idling / stand still
It easily gives around 10 in short trips
For long drives within city with ac on and moderate traffic conditons avg remains between 11 to 13.5

Altis 1.6 without any doubt is a better car
It will perform better
Will give slightly better average
Reasle wouldnt be as good as xli or gli
I think it will give a loss of around 2 lacs after 1.5 years
To cut it short
It will fetch almost same amount what gli auto will give after 1.5 years

Thank you so much , i am sticking with 1.3 gli auto in medium silver , i read somewhere u mentioned the xli player is better then gli , how is that so , gli has clarion , i plan to change 4 speakers only will the stock player power then well enough ? Also i dont want to spend so much on tires , like energy xm or db but i can go with hankook , cause i will have to pay just 7-8 k more by turning in my euros also a couple

Xlis player is really bad
I have used it
No comparison at all

It looks esthetically better
Glis player looks really bad and spoils tha overall graceful and decent dashboard of new Corolla
Xlis player just looks better than gli
But has really pathetic quality

I have both Gli a/t n altis 1.6....if u r worrying about resale value then i wud suggest u to get Gli manual....if u want power with good fuel average then i ll suggest u altis 1.6 as Gli a/t is bit underpowered n its slowest cars in 1.3 i have ever driven....fuel average we r getting within city drive is 8-9.5km/L...it goes above 10.5km/L wen going for long drive like 40km+ but on same route on altis 1.6 give better fuel average...

For such short trips avg is not more then 11 kpl .. 12 kpl to be very optimistic

Ahmed yar 5-8 kms trips cant measure vehicle's avg. 1-2 gear mein tou aise hi hoga ...
