4. purchase them from toyota dealerships.
5. tell them to do this this this .
6. burden on your pocket will be less than 5 k

Bro I got this sticker from Toyota dealership here in peshawar and it states everything for each periodic checkup. So having a glimpse on this sticker I dont think it will cost 20 k , Check with some other dealership also.

At 20,000 km, they told me I needed to replace the plugs ... I checked the condition and told them to just clean them. I replaced them later at 25,000 km service.

I changed oil + oil filter and air filter. Brakes pads and discs were removed and cleaned. Coolant and washer fluids were checked. Undercarriage nuts and bolts were tightened. Doors and trunks were checked for proper opening and closing. Battery fluid was checked.

However, as per the schedule posted above, they did not do any balancing or alignment. I had got the balancing done few days back when I got the TPMS installed.

If I recall correctly, their bill for labour was Rs 1800 and I got 20% discount when I showed them the SMS that Toyota Islamabad Motors sends to the regular customers ... plus some percent off on parts and lubricants...

I asked them not to rotate the tires as I had done it myself few days back when I installed the TPMS

Since you are in Rawalpindi, I think you should better come to Toyota Islamabad Motors near Aabpara.

@ 25000 km, I paid them Rs 250 for labour ... oil +oil filter + spark plugs replaced

Salam guys,

my corolla GLi 2010 (1.3ltr) is approaching 20,000km (first major service of the car) on the odo meter. I called up toyota central motors (banglore town, shahrae faisal). They said that the 20,000 km service would cost 20,000+Rs.

When I asked what thy will do in 20,000Rs, they avoided answering my question by saying "sir ye humara service pakage hai jis may Toyota k genuine parts use hoon ge and work will be done by trained mechanics."

I have got my car servied from them at 5k,10k,15k. My bill would usually come 5,6K

Q1. Has anyone got their car serviced (20,000km) fom toyota 3s dealers?

Q2. Why are they charging so much ?

Q3. What is usually done on the 20k service?

Q4. can anyone recommend me a workshop (other than the 3s dealers of course) where I can get the work done in lesser amount but good quality work?

report them to toyota motors japan, or even Indus motors, if they do not want to inform you of the details of service - its mandatory that they explain every little detail or they can be blamed for any "dangerous incident" that can happen - just because they did not share any information with you.

I would not waist a dime on Toyota Motors so called 20,000 km service

For what when you can get all this done for 10 % the price the toyata will charge you.

Its only the Oil air and oil filter with labour etc it costs 5000.

i have mostly done my car serveises from toyota walton motors lahore.
they offer you so many things but it didnt mean you accept all of them.

you can do these things at 20km servise.

Air and oil filter change,oil change, plugs change,wheel alignment and balancing.
brake servie.

let me tell you parts prices.

engine oil 1800
spartk plug 1320

Labour charges.

engine tuning+co test
spark plug change 600
wheel alignment 1200
balancing

total 7500

that what you have to pay.

they quoted you the wrong price this is the cost for 40k check up as per me,

paid cash - 20,000/- lol the rupee is surely low. Why not plastic swipe that amount? It was a little too risky carrying cash in Karachi - cant say about Lahore

Thanks for the pm and invitation, I have gone through your thread but didnt coment, my point of view is this, if i can purchase 140k+ car and want to drive it on petrol in order to keep the warranty then i have to follow the company rules. I my self has 18k on odo and i will go through this 20k servise from a 3s. by doing this i will keep the warranty till 50k as well. in my point of view they are trained professionals, they know the engine and car accessaries very well, they will never ruin it.Best of luck.

i got the service done at 20k n 40k as well,u dont relly need to do everything as they say,i paid about 20k at 40k setup as i change the gear oils stering n brake oils only n changed the plugs earlier my self n rather than geting injector cleaner i used the same amount to piour in hioctae which is equally good
