Bhai, i am using zic plus its semi-synthetic oil 10w40. ODO is 150K almost. Using this oil from long time. Should i keep using it or move to any fully-synthetic oil you mentioned, at my next oil change?

Lol exactly I've never seen this tricky thing.
We have sufficient resources even if that parts was not making proper seal, i would have pulled the engine out on engine stand & would have melted aluminum on it and then would have done facing..

But this part can't ever be culprit in making seal, it's bad water jacket or bad tstat ring...

The leak near the thermostat is very easy to fix, pop off intake manifold (15 minutes max), then drain the system into clean tub,

Unbolt the thermostat and replace the seal on it, its available as spare part. Also make sure the actual thermostat is there, if missing. Install it back.

The metal flange on top (heater bypass) has an O ring there, replace that too, takes another 5 to 10 minutes.

Pack it up.

If your block is actually corroded where the thermostat elbow bolts on, then God help you because the entire engine will be trashed internally too.

What i read in previous posts and also looking at the oil cap condition it seems the block is erroded beyond repair and its leaking water or it can be just a water jacket. Without pictures of actual problem everything we say here is just an assumption. As i said before go to some good mechanic and have it diagnosed than ask for suggestions.

@hasankhurshid29 you got engine reworked in Dec 2018 and it started troubling in January 2019 later you got head gaskit job done .

is it the same mechanic / workshop since 2018 .

After head gaskit replacement I didn't went to any mechanic uptill july.

Then I went to another mechanic who has also swapped the engine in my civic in 2015 but for almost 2 - 3 years I don't go there. He checked and said the engine is done and you need to swap (engine ki awaz sy pata chal jata hai k engine gaya). Then the suspension overhauling was done by this same mechanic (not the head gasket one). After suspension overhauling he poured coolant on my request and then this leak started. Maybe it was there before also as coolant decreases from a long time but this time coolant is decreasing in great quantity. So he removed thermostat and removed the rubber seal which was worn out and use some silicone to fix the leak which unfortunately cannot stop leakage

But now the mechanic who said it can be easily fixed temporary is the mechanic who change my head gaskit in dec 2018. If block is removed for some other work this part can be properly welded and repaired.

Seen and heard about many old cars, in which their owner always had simple water in the radiator and when they realised at some point that we should pour coolant in their gaddiya. They have started facing many problems with their engines and leakages etc. Idk why that happened to them. ya phir coolant daleney se pehley sab thel se service nahi karte ya check nahi karte if everything is fine tho.

Expert opinion is needed k jin gariyome hamesha pani radiator me dala jata raha hai. un me coolant dalney se pehley kin kin chezo ka dehan rakhna chae hai?

if you use coolant since beginning (which the factory actually fills for you) - the engine never fails in cooling system and the fill is good for 100,000 kms. Replacing it after 100,000 is cheap too - just drain and fill (the dealer parts counter sells it)

its the owners stupidity that they listen to their idiot mechanics and let them drain that expensive liquid and pour straight water in there because "dada ki vegzall" mein karte thay.

So what do you suggest agar pani sey coolant pe transfer hona ho tou kese hona chae hai or just keep putting pani instead ?

Bhai, If i am not wrong you stated before that your car is not even economical on CNG giving you 75km per cylinder in other thread. And your car average is not good thats mean koi masla hai k na petrol ki average thek hai na CNG. Wo b is issue k sath thek karwa do petrl CNG dono ki averge thek ho jani hai.

Today I went to mechanic. He said why you are putting coolant in this engine which has been driven with water almost all of its life. He said that if you want to use coolant buy a new engine or buy a new car. He said if I fix it using depoxy you should not use coolant.

He showed me a 3zz / 1zz engine in very scrape condition as AN EXAMPLE. Pictures Attached

He said that he has seen many corolla's have this place rusted badly

This is not my engine.. he showed me this as an example.

Previously I was running water then a very bad quality coolant with the sticker of PRIME from USA but I am 90% sure that was a fake coolant. But after that the day I poured 2 liters of caltex havoline the leak started from thermostat area.
