Theres your problem.

Your ecu is going mad trying to understand the speed signal. You will need to find its original speed sensor for this transmission and will also need to change the speedometer too to japanese 180 kmh one.

To confirm speed. Check speed reading on obd tool, gps and speedometer at the same time.

All three should be same or have error of 5kmh at max

I have already tested that and I am seeing almost 40 kmph difference between gps and obd at higher speeds and around 25 to 30 at speed of 50kmph

Problem is my car is non abs and maybe after 2000 all cars in japan have abs so the trans has place to hook VSS by removing a cover on that place but don't came with VSS. So mechanic have put VSS from previous transmission most probably.

Also no CEL for speed sensor but yes error is too much

Does this maf sensor looks dirty? While opening it I also dropped one screw
Mechanic already done so called tuning and cleaned O2 sensor but still no effect on fuel average and pick. Only thing remain is speed sensor replacement

the cleaning agent shud leave no residue behind, shud evaporate quickly n to be safe for electrical application...thanks

yes its dirty - clean it very gently.

btw - your problem is that your transmission is reporting wrong output speed. You may have to replace the gauge cluster along with the speed sensor too.

I have checked using obd2, it confirms that speed sensor is giving wrong output and speedometer is only displaying that so don't think speedometer is bad and mechanic is waiting for the replacement speed sensor to come

the ECUs for japan domestic versions read a different tone wheel in the transmission - they also have a 180 kph speedo.

But my problem is ecu is also receiving wrong data

speedo is probably part of the circuit, it will malfunction without it

speedo should not be a problem because usually people install speedo of RS Vitz/yaris which comes with RPM and is marked till 240. ppl install it in normal jdm vitz plug and play and it works without any hiccups. in the default meter there is no RPM meter

its not the speed reading that is different, but the fact that the jdm meter will help complete the loop along with the vss, i am not sure that his current meter would be able to do that
