Corolla Xli 2008 engine sludge removal

Salam bros,
I have a corolla 2008 xli.It has around 160k mileage the issue arising is that the car performance is degraded and the engine has alot of sludge in it it can be seen when the engine oil cap is removed.My question is what is the proper way to remove the sludge my mechanic was recommending "Engine Flush" but I have researched online and found that it can be more dangerous for the engine.Can anyone suggest any other option I have to remove sludge safely ?
p.s I have also tried to change oil more early but not a big difference it made.
Currently Iam using Liqui Moly 20W-50 change every 3000kms

Most likely your oil wasn't changed at regular intervals therefore sludge was formed. I don't think flush is a good idea since it could end up removing all the sludge and creating more problems. It would be best to wait till mechanic and shops open completely before going ahead with it.

Bro since the mileage on the odo is more then 160k that's why i was using 20W-50,but I will try your suggestion by changing oil type.My question is this will 10W-30 be appropriate as it is thin oil and my mileage is about 160k+?

Brother, its not dangerous, however, would be a bit risky in your case.

No offence, but your car / engine are almost 12 years old. If you will use engine flush now, then it will definitely dislodge and remove the sludge, however, it may also affect seals, and if they will be worn out, leakages will start from there, and new problems will start.

I am a big supporter of engine flush, but in your particular case; Better to avoid!

To me, it seems the main culprit.

What's the engine health of your car? Do you observe any smoke from the exhaisut, etc.? Like Bluish smoke?

If no, and engine health is perfect, then from next oil change, switch to either 10w-30 from Caltex / Havoline, or fully synthetic 10w-40 by ZIC. Just ensure that oil is 100% genuine and original.

I am hopeful, after 2-3 oil changes, the issues will get resolved, and no need to change engine oils early. You will be wasting money and resources by doing it.

If you want to go for engine flush, proceed at your own risk. I am not recommending it to you.

This all depends on your car's engine health.

If its great, you are not facing any oil consumption issues, bluish smoke from the exhaust, compression loss, etc. you can switch to 10w-30 or 10w-40.

Well my engine is health is good as it doesn't have any sort of smoke coming out.Yes Iam reluctant to get the engine flush because it will cause leaks as the engine is quite old.I haven't done a compression test I don't think my mechanic is equipped to the compression test.Can you recommend any mechanic in Karachi preferably near defence?
p.s oil isn't reducing every change

Javad, for mechanic contact baber 0300 2838233 he is not a big shop person, but a reasonable mechanic ,, you can refer my name if needed. His workshop in dha behind exact building or close to careem office. I was at his shop today for 2007 xli. For the sludge I will advise to make frequent oil change i.e 3 x oil change after 1000kms or 1st one at 500kms and other 2x at 1000kms. For economical and original oil change go to Mehmend lubricants next to traffic police station across gora kabristan.

From the details which you have mentioned, I am of the opinion that engine health is fine. Do not mess with it, or any other thing.

Can you recommend any mechanic in Karachi preferably near defence?

Brother I belong to twin cities, so I regret, I may not be able to guide.
