If u look closely at the front collision strut bar, it show as that this car was atleast hit at a speed of over 70kph!To conclude even I think these are two different incident pics as this much damage cannot be brought onto a corolla with this type of an incident

yar when the car engion burns petrol, it is converting enery from petrol to mechanical and the in turn friction and kinetic energy. and in physics we learn that in every system the totall energy is conserved, but it changes from one form to another.

then the concept of stoping distence comes in. if 2 objects with same mass are moving and one stops with zero stoping distance and the other with lets 2 feet, the G force on the second system will be quite low. e.g if u jump from a roof top and keep your legs stiff, u will end up braking your legs, but if u bend them when u land, the force exerted on the legs is reduced by increased stoping distance.

so the point beeing is that u siting in the corolla were more safer that the person in the other car as the corolla absorbed most of the impact ( just like bending of legs) and the other one absorbed very little and transfered the rest to the passangers ( just like keeping the legs stiff)..

so u should say that corolla is much safer and techanically advanced than the other car.
