@VCheng @Xulfiqar another wave has been creeping under name of OMICRON, how is out there with you guys. Just saw news over CNN / ALJAZEERA for 4400 interstate flights cancelled. Spoke to family in UK and they are scared for another clamp down on or before Jan 15th.

NCOC in Pakistan has indicative warnings now. we are anticipating revision of working hours and commercial activities. Winter vacations for educational institutes across Pakistan are expected to be extended beyond Jan 31.

We all 4 here [ 2 adult, 2 kids ] are Covid Positive. We never travelled anywhere. Seems one of the kid brought it in from school. Today is 2nd day since I tested positive. Severe dry cough, fever and extreme tiredness and weakness. Continuously monitoring O2 levels .As of now symptoms are on their peak. The youngest fellow 4.5 year old has high fever and currently the worst of all of us.

Except the youngest, we all are Pfizer vaccinated. My wife and I have booster as well.

Please don't worry about the sickness of youngest one. He shall be the first one to become symptom free. Take care of everyone including yourself.

everyone is busy in gossip for political mess, no body is bothered for pre-cautions or sops. life has been business as usual with every one, since ease of commercial operations. Zero SOPs everywhere.

May Allah (swt) protect us from pandemic and keep everyone safe.

between Dec 07 to Dec 21 I have lost 2 very elderly extended family members due to COVID. we were not allowed to perform burial, it was conducted by Chippa, only 9 people were able to perform namaz janaza.

11 days after booster shot another member of same family 61 years old suffered serious breathing issues, Since 23rd evening he is in ER ICU (because covid ward is full). X-rays show patchy spots over lungs which were not there in August 2021.

he is over ventilator on & off, responsive means there is HOPE for his restart / coming back,

His daughters are called upon & sons are already here in PK for any eventuality. It is only matter of time,

As much as new variants can be unpredictable, the best way to reduce complications, on an individual as well as society wide level, remains vaccination. The healthcare system is under a lot of stress, true, but it is better prepared for what may lie ahead compared to two years ago. It will all work out, I am sure.

we as members of PW shall make sure that our families, friends, near & dear ones exercise caution. irrespective of age group / mind set we shall all try to enforce - follows sops (unless really necessary) when going out among crowds.

over a lighter note it is now close to 27 months am a grocery mule, i now know about stores and ongoing deals more then anybody else in the house I also know names of plenty of check out counter operators at many stores in Karachi / Islamabad
