Cost of Painting Bumpers ( Cultus )

same here... also raining here... but as you see from pics bumper paint is not much damaged so using a pen will be good for it.

if this car is with me, i ll go to paint shop n ask for paint match "half dabi" n buy a brush for kalam, & get done paint my self, paint cost 50-100 rs, brush 30-40 rs, n that is the proper way.

I had my paint job done in MT A block market. Done in open space on road side, he said we charge 1500 to 2k. Mine could also have been done up with simple 'Kalam' but I wanted it to be perfect as possible with minimum cost so went ahead with it. One thing, If he sets ur car up in open its a no no. In the end he gave me a couple of hours time to finish the job and took 4 althouh it was in all honesty an hour and half job but yes the light went out just as he finished putting up the newspapers. I ended up missing an important appointment. Also the finish due to dust was less than perfect to which his reply was that its my fault that I was dusting the car in between, which also put me off as he could have guided me to that if it was something to look out for. He cut corners and on my inspection the lower lip undersurface wasn`t done and was left with scrapes. Also the final straw was that the sheet (between the bumpers and tyre on one side ot sprayed as well partially. He seemed an experienced chap by his looks but the work was shoddy at best and I regretted coming to the guy(recommended by someone). I had good mind in getting the job done at a booth but wound up gettin talked into this deal. Its not a bad job but could have been better. Anyway am having to let go of the car now anyways.

Yup please tell which color pen and is it available from Montgomery road only or near kalma chowk too?

The workshop from where i got the work done is owned by the friend of my uncle ,he said if the paint fades or the colour changes in the upcoming 5 years then he'll be responsible

So no worries and yes after proper care of the car the colour doesn't fades away

Getting paint done in an open environment is not a good idea , the grains of dust stick to the freshly painted surface and thus affects the finish

I got my car's paint done in a closed workshop big enough to accommodate around 20 cars at once (obviously there were separate sections for each thing like paint, denting, mechanical etc

will it need full paint or small touchups can be matched with existing bumper paint?

Depends on quality of work i paid 500 for both bumpers of my vxr some months back Quality paint nd finish cost close to 2500/ bumper ...but for bumpers i personally dont care much bcz jo b ho jae after some days they get scratched i.e m getting my civic's bumper painted for 700pkr as decided

Hahaha ye tou hay paint quality isnt fine but as far as its matched m ok with it as i told earlier i dont care much about bumpers paint quality bcz when m dad drives my car (atleast twice a week ) he comes back home with scratched bumpers specialy front one so spending on bumpers paint isnt an option for me

Nah man thats an expensive job ...
A friend wanted to save paint job cost of its cultus fender nd went to i.8 markaz for wrap and was quoted 2.5k for CF wrap sheet... Later he ended up with paint job for some 1800rs

Actual job of bumper is to absorb daily bumps and to protect body from scratches but now a days bumpers have become fashion too ... look at the black hard plastic or metal bumpers of old models

Paint quality is the main basis.
Ask them what paint they're using.
If they're charging 2.5-3.5k it should be 2K and if it's higher per piece it should be sikkens or nexa

Some painters commit higher amounts but they use Santos Chinese paint or local paint.
