Some of you have raised valid points to ponder about but this spate of negativity and criticism in almost every thread about the situation in Pak is getting on my nerves. Highlight the good, keep it upbeat and hope for the best. The power of positive thinking , so to speak. And if you really care and are unhappy do something instead of just kvetching. Peace.

Debt blah ... no big issue.

The US economy works on TRILLIONS of debts.

A few millions aint going to hurt PSO or anyone as long as there is working capital ... and they surely have it.

When they (PSO etc) get WC issues, they aint going to be coming on papers and news ... they would have already served notices to employees etc.

Giving away 'free' petrol to each and every goverment car atleast 270ltr/month.... with 'only' Sindh Police buying cars worth 500million rs this year, lets see the vague data for SP recent purchases 'only'....

500million lets say all were toyota carolla then 500,000,000 / 1,300,000 = almost 384 vechiles, then 384 * 270ltr (min petrol sanctioned per car) = 103,846ltrs per month for new cars only = 7,269,230rs per month.

so only SP excuding the old cars it has needs fuel worth more than 72lacs, and who gives that petrol to them and that to on credit? PSO!!!

Everybody seems to say here how corolla is outselling everything, why dont they realise 'most' of the sale is being done to govt and govt org. with OUR TAX MONEY.....

with an est population of sindh @ less than 50,000,000 just try to calculate that if the govt had spent the money 'on people' rather than on LUXURY of there own I bet we the people would have got very good subsidys.

The thing that makes me hate people is that no body says anything to this... everyone is quite doing what he/she do....

When will we wake up as a nation?

@TB: circular debt is not 4-5 years old, my close family relative is working with a power company and has written quite a few articles on it, he told me that it became an issue when the global oil prices increased exorbitantly in 2006-07 and the inefficient power generation and transmission infrastructure coupled with power thefts and tariff subsidies aggravated the issue!! and the circular debt cannot be eliminated unless permanent measures are taken to match the power cost with tariff!!

Please read, I talked about 'subsidy' NOT giving 'free money' to the people...

Also I am saying 72lacs per month for 'NEW CARS BOUGHT' not the cars they 'already had the previous year'.

Now add 72lacs*12+500,000,000 = How much subsidy for normal people taking an average of 5 person per house hold???
