+1
I owned an 08 August Xli, driven for 20k kms and sold for a new 09 Gli.
And i had a cultus efi from Sep 09 to Feb '10.
Ok so the thing is. Vxri is a good car, and mine did 160km/h too, on gas.
It scared me going more than that on stock tyres, so i'll never know if i could have done more.
I agree, when one has a car, its like their baby, and people tend to get really possessive and touchy about it.
But there is a very thin line between such love and practicality.
I own a Swift, and I love it to bits.
However, I wont make such claims as it can beat a 1.8 civic or altis, or even a new city for that matter.
One must be realistic at all times.
My Cultus, and my swift, are supposed to carry me from point A to point B, and gimme that tiny lil bit of thrill if i'm feeling naughty
The Cultus was nice to drive, gave great average, and had nice brakes.
That's about it.
Comparisons with an old or new xli, or gli, are pointless, stupid, useless and an altogether baseless activity.
@Poster: if u have never actually "drived" an xli or gli. Rent one or drive a friend's.
If a Corolla with a family in it is slightly overspeeding, or even driving normally and u think its going too fast for u, and u perform a fly-by and start exclaiming "main jeet gaya main jeet gaya", sadly my friend, that doesn't count
or if ur THAT adamant, post a 0-100km/h time for ur cultus, the best u can manage, and some of us can post ours to compare
Peace.
