What was the fault that made you open the gear box? what parts have you replaced? It a known that after repair the gear box the "GOONG" sound never goes. What measure did you take to avoid this.

well there was a sharp grinding sound of meshing gears , seems some thing was lose and eventually end up in destroying all gear , i opened it and found that the counter shaft main nut was lose enough to be removed by hand , its first time its been opened , any how i also change the 5th gear roller bearing , i feel some plan in it ,
and how can that goong be removed if mechanics just change few of the bearings and replace them with chinese one ,,,,,,,,,,,,original KOYO or NTN bearings are hard to find ,,,,,,,,,,,,,may be you pay for original but getting the fake one ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,there are 10 bearings in it , and that gooong can be removed if you replace all of them with the 100% original one , original one are very expensive , may be cost atleast 500 t0 800 per piece , where as fake one can be bought in under 200 rs

helo friends , i am bit confuse about coolant , i buy this so called antifreeze coolant a year before but i havent use it because not satisfied with its quality , its still sealed pack , the time when i buy this thing it was in red color , and right night it changes its color from red to transparent , today i gave it a test , i put it in freezer for 3 hours , and after 3 hours i found that its rock solid , acording to my info it must not freeze so quickely if its a real coolant ,,,,,,,,,,,,means its all fake ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,any one have any idea about guard coolant ????,,,,i found that guard is a good brand and may be its coolant is also good,,
second thing ,,,,,,,,,how to get a distilled water to mix it with coolant ? i have 2 ideas ,,,,,,,,,,,one is to collect the split ac condensed water ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,which i cant do right now because its winter ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,second is to defreeze the ice which forms inside the deepfreezer ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,i guess that ice water is without minerals and salts,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,some one gave surrestion about these 2 things ,

if you're willing to spend some money, get the caltex extended life coolant. for distilled water, best option right now is to collect rain water after its been raining for some time. ac and freezer water is not distilled and contains impurities.

Rain water??? WHAT - have you ever tested rain water?? it even tastes acidic.

Best way to get distilled water in Isb - buy a case of Pyro distilled water or make your own with a pressure cooker and cooling still. <-- takes a long time

For coolant, I would suggest you contact the member @SKZIC on PW and ask where to buy premixed ZIC coolant. It will be at correct conc already and you wont have to run around in circles, DO ASK HIM that what is the coolant type, your engine needs a HOAT coolant.

If you cannot find the ZIC one then buy a litre of caltex coolant and use that, in your car the total coolant hold is 4 litres, which means that 1 litre coolant and rest distilled water will give you 30% conc.

i'll suggest caltex coolant. i'll protect ur radiator from rust.as snuggested on packing its best to prepare with half water and half coolant.

u can make ur own distilled water with pressure cooker and that will be super class distilled water. other way collect refrigerator freezer snow from upper and side walls. that is also good i used it for battery and my battery is ok. how to make by pressure cooker u can watch at utube.
coolant i changed in my radiator just two days back (Gaurd), i purchased it from makro. though i didn't tested it.

i know rain water is acidic but how about rain water that you collect after it has been raining heavily for two days straight. there arent much impurities left in atm. after that. but of course if you can get premixed coolant, that's the best option.

Regarding Thermostat valve installation in my car i have aligned small breather pin to the mark mentioned on valve housing & pratcitcaly its sets on top after installtion.

I have been to a 300Km road trip to high way after installation of Thermo stat valve but i fee that temp remains relatively low as shown in below pic. I bought genuine thermostat valve & the operating temprature mentioned on it was 82 Deg C. How ever now i came to know that thermo stat valve is also availbale for 88 Deg C operation. but i m not sure wat comes from factory with the car:( .
Can Any 1 help me in this regard?

As you have yourself mentioned that its really very difficult to find genuine parts may that be bearings or any other thing, what is your suggetion I mean any shop in Islamabad or Rawalpindi where the Shopkeeper has, atleast, some fear of God and one can get genuine auto parts if he is paying for the genuine ones.

P.S. when are you taking up pending jobs that you once promised like tuning, idle mixture setting techniques etc (I might seem very strange but would help many people if they are able to follow these simple procedures and could save thier cars from being devastated and ruined by road-side mechanics)

well the allighnment is not a big issue , i guess you cant close the fitting unless its allighned ,
i have just check the pic of my T valve which i use , i see 82 DC written on it , the one i have is 100% original which company uses , this one i take from my cousion and he has grounded T valve from his car engine , right now i guess he is using without T valve ,,,,,,,,,,,so i am sure the one i have is 100% original fitted by company,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,the guage almost stands in the mid ,,,,,,,,,,,,,which is ideal
are you sure you have buy a original one ? if its fake or copied then the actual temperature and the temperature which is written on it may vary,,,,,,,,,,,,what about radiator fan ? is it automatic or runs continous ? have you checked the rubber gaskit of T valve that it perfectelly seals the water ,,,,,,,,,,i mean water must only pass through the valve opening , you need to check that,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,remove the radiator upper piper and blow air in it through your mouth ,,,,,,,,,,,,if wont pass then T valve is installed perfectelly and the Temperature reading on it is wrong ,

i see some shops of ball bearing in babu bazar rwp where you have seen dozens of auto decoration shope , but no experence from buying from there , ok will cover that idle mixture soon , today i drive my other 07cultus , and found that its clutch cable is rock solid, dont know how my brother drive it , so i pulled it out and serice and adjust it , will post that soon

one more thing ,,,,,,,,,are you sure your car speedo meter is original and never been opened ? you can gave it a test ,,,,,,,,you know where the temperature guage wire is located behid the carb on the left side ? pull its thimble out and ground it ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,you will notice that the guage needle will go to maximum ,,,,,,,,,,,,,confrom our guage too , may be its not showing accurate reading

I think T alve is working fine its just your temp sensor which is creating problem as mine was. So i just disconnect water out let hose small one from carby and check and it was blocked with rust paiticals. So i cleaned it with carby cleaner and also cleaned temp guage sensor.now my car temp guage needle exectly in middle at 82 centi grade. It was only coolant blockage in carby lines.

I think T alve is working fine its just your temp sensor which is creating problem as mine was. So i just disconnect water out let hose small one from carby and check and it was blocked with rust paiticals. So i cleaned it with carby cleaner and also cleaned temp guage sensor.now my car temp guage needle exectly in middle at 82 centi grade. It was only coolant blockage in carby lines.

In carby cultus temp sensor is only reading coolant temp which is circulating thru intake mainfold. I have checked this by disconnecting temp sensor from intake mainfold. If u unscrew temp sensor and put some water in raditor it will tap out from sensor hole

helo guys , here i adjust the clutch cable of cultus , today i drive my other cultus after a long time and found that its clutch cable is very hard , and the clutch play is also very less , car starts moving when i release almost half of the clutch , i acuratelly adjust the clutch of my 06 cultus which i overhaul and was driving if for last 1 month , the clutch of this 07 cultus really feel very odd , so i decided to pull the cable , lubricate it and later adjust the clutch play , first i pour petrol inside the clutch cable for cleaning , later lubricate it with engine oil , the oil which i use was very thing (the same which is used in 2 stoke riksha petrol) , i guess thick oil will eventually jam the cable after some time , for pedal play adjustment i use my own custom way , keep in mind that the measurement which you will see in pic can vary from car to car , if your clutch plate is new then the reading will be higher , the key point is that when you fully relaase the clutch pedal the thorw out bearing must not touch the pressure plate , there must be a clearance of 1-2mm between them , other wise the thorw out bearing will keep rotating with the pressure plate all the time , when result in the premature failure of throw out bearing,
