I have Cultus 2014 with milage 81K and running on cng mostly is causing Tik Tik sound with warm engine. 1 month ago due to heating issues and weak radiator my mechanic removed T valve and changed fan setting on direct. Prior this I used 20w50 oil but presently I am using Havoline 10w40. Car has run 1000 km on this oil.
Lets come back to issue. From last 2 days my car is making tik tik sound, which increases in intensity as I drive longer. I took car to mechanic and he said that oil is not reaching tappets properly. He removed camshaft and checked all holes. He said tappets and cam is fine but oil is not reaching tappets with pressure. He changed oil filter but issue remained same. I asked him whether its issue of oil pump or jaali, he said that pump and jaalis are fine as there is no light of oil. Finally, he recommanded that he has to open the head to check the valve that lies below head. But he was not sure that whether this will resolve the issue or not but wanted money in any case. I told him to pack things as I wasnt satisfied with his description. Kindly guide me regarding this issue and suggest me a mechanic, I will be extremely thankful to you
