I've been driving efi cultus for more than two years now. Fuel average is awesome but there are some things which might annoy you. Cultus has got a strong cabin noise, its doors make sounds & interior isn't better than alto. If you can compromise on cabin cabin noise and interior than go for cultus otherwise i would recommend you to buy alto in this budget.
Sir you can get other car's in this budget why shouldn't you consider baleno etc.
In 6 you can get a clean Liana...maza of Honda City and price of alto..
Bro I don't think alto is more beautiful than cultus interior and exterior wise...a bit of noisy cultus is a factory default and not much issue...but dash and space is much better than alto
In 6 lacs you can also get clean 99-2000 model vitz. A perfect hatchback I must say.
Cultus is better if you are looking for good fuel mileage, better road grip with good suspension, and spacious sitting capacity with chilling ac. Cabin noise is not a default issue and can be dealt easily be spending a few bucks.
How to deal with cabin noise? I am specifically talking about engine noise inside cabin. Please guide as i have cultus and its engine noise annoys me alot.

Bros my parking area do not allow for any sedan, so maximum length of cultus is permissible or in this size of any other, on the other hand fuel consumption is also a big issue as today's manhgai
I think the only plus point in alto is that it's ground clearance is much better than cultus
But remember sir alto is Prado in terms of mileage
Alto have very bad fuel avge...I have kept it for 7 years...esp on petrol we can see the petrol ka kaanta moving
Nono Hassan I personally drive alto often from Gujranwala to Lahore via motorway 15/16 p/ltr and 10/12 via GT road , any my personals choice is cultus but my budget is a bit short
Brother even a carby Cultus can be a nightmare if that's the case. Usually the pre 2007 Cultus available in market are used/abused on CNG and their carbs are not in good condition they can even give worst mileage than Alto on petrol.I have seen some case's when people reverted back to petrol from CNG and they were getting only 6-8 kmpl in city drive. Even after carburetor service/rebuild they still aren't getting anything above 9 kmpl in city drive.But a carby Cultus used on petrol throughout it's life is capable of giving 10-12 kmpl in city drive and around 15-17 on Highway.
Sir which model you talking about? Actually we have alto 2004 and cultus 2006 in house.Alto never gives more then 9 km/l while cultus gives 12+. Alto has power windows so it's interior looks more suspicious then cultus while i never feels cabin noise in cultus.In drive alto is like a dinki jumps on every small bump while cultus weights more so it's more comfortable and feel gripe then alto. Prices of both cars parts are about same not a big difference.
Cultus we have is g10 i3 gives 12+ don't ask about alto
