i get Rs2/Km to 2.5/Km now a days @ 45.50/KG.

My meter is now showing 99066...

good so you are also about to approach a landmark best of luck (Y) as the winter season is coming, the mileage is getting better and better.. i use to get more than 140+ km in each filling every time and its just keeping to improve in each successive filling... will post details soon.. the highest i have ever achieved is 164km/ filling

Still today i had a refill after 185Km of 250, but the pressure was not too good, was abt 180-190bars :(...

wow 215 is great (Y) perhaps ur in islamabad and might travel on motorways a lot with 5th gear cruising here in karachi i can hardly apply 5th gear so the milegae is basically for 4 speed driving

Now a days i'm looking for an FX, under 1Lac, so that my younger brothers use it for learning the driving, and also for a litle bit family use, as the road conditions at my home village are not good and FX is a tough car...

before this cultus, i had an 85 FX and an 82 charade before it. though FX is reasonably cheaper to afford but since you've mentioned the road conditions, then charade 82 is much tough & reliable than fx.. though spares would be expensive but if u get ur hands onto a good piece, it will give u less troubles than FX... anyway if you wana go for FX then best of luck (Y) finding a more than 20 year old trouble free car is a tough job

The main reason of my choice of FX are two.
1. Cheap Maintainence +
2. Low Running costs.

i'm searching for FX whose body is in good condition, so after their learning i can rebuild it and doing that for a charade might not be an easy task....

i've seen quite a few FXs and u r right finding a good is a difficult task...

sir ji you mentioned tht you have been changing shock absorbers of your car quite often. I have a cultus 2005 too and it has got 65000kms on the dial. got its shock absorbers and coil springs changed a couple of months back. It was a kabuli set with new springs. got the whole work done by Shah ji at near drigh road, opposite COD. But i beleive it needs replacement once again. Wat would you sugest i should go for??? I am thinking of getting a new set of Gabriel as these are the genuine ones tht come with the new car from the factory. Wat do you suggest, is it worthwhile??? and wat about springs??? is there any reputable brand for springs available?

rao.. i never went to shahji yet but i have been replacing my shocks & springs from Sardar Autos.. working quite fine but due to extreme running and the road conditions, i have to replace them almost every year. you can go for genuine for sure, they are better than anything in after market.. havent got an idea how expensive they would be but definitely will last longer than kabli ones. do share ur cultus experience with us

and any suggestion about coil springs???? the ones being sold at suzuki authorized dealers (as genuine) are not good as the overall look of car gets ruined and it also feels a bit bumpy if the car is empty.

as for my experiance with cultus, i must say its a good family car with good economy. My main reasons for going for it were its being spacious and since i travel on highways every other weekend so i needed a small car with best possible road grip... so here it is.

The cons i found in it are its suspension and at times, lack of power, specially on highways. Not to mention, the 'hallmark' of pak suzuki....their built quality. nevertheless, so far it has been trouble-free, absolutely.

i have always went for after market springs, or purchased them directly from sardar autos.. as u can see the pictures of my car, it never looks unusually raised up from rear as most of the cars look after getting the springs changed.. its all well balanced and has a good presence.. one of their old workers (sardar autos) has opened up his own workshop in F.B Area, i have been his loyal customer ever since i bought this car, you can also visit him to see if he can give u a better solution..

how many valves does the carby version of cultus engine have?. According to the engine plate, the engine in the VXRi is the G10B. Its looks exactly like the baleno engine, but is smaller. Besides it has a distributor which the Baleno did not. The engine is 16 Valve EFI and is literally a beast to drive..posting video of its run (could have been faster but had difficulty holding the camera,,,run time approx 12.5 secs 0~100)

as far as the quality issues are concerned, Alhamdulillah i have never ever faced any built quality issue in my car so far.. two of my brothers purchased zero meter Alto VXR in 2007 and my God dont ask me about the quality. back then the quality standards of Paksuzuki were much better than that of today.. the new Altos use to get workshop visits more than my 8 year old Cultus (MashaAllah)

thats furiously fast Akbar but drive safe dude, holding camera in one hand and driving this much fast is verry risky.. efi cultus is quite nimble as compared to carby version.. so does it mean that the efi cultus has also a G10 engine just the fuel distribution is efi? the carby G10 has 6 valves..
