15 Km/L in local driving or long routes? With or without A/C?
The future of CNG is not looking so bright in Pakistan that is why I was thinking to buy a small car which gives good mileage on petrol.
Starting from 660cc cars. First of all they have spare parts issue. Secondly they are built only for city/local driving. They are not at all economical if you drive them on highways above 100 Km/hr. You would be surprised to know that at speeds above 100-110Km/hr they drink more fuel than 1.8L cars because in order to achieve that speed, the small 660cc engine has to work on very very high RPM. In short they are not for highways. And the third thing is they are very small and fourth thing is they have poor resale.
Now come to the next level i.e 800cc Suzuki Mehran. Its build quality is very pathetic and I don't like it at all.
Then comes Daihatsu Cuore. Its 847cc and carburetor engine. The interior space is very less. And the fuel avg is around 12.
So the next car which has an EFI engine with quite a lot of space is this Cultus. That is why I am interested in knowing its mileage.
Right now my 2007 Toyota Altis is giving me around 10-12 Km/L in local without A/C. Honda City 2011 is giving me around 15-16 in local without A/C. Its the best car in Pakistan in terms of fuel consumption keeping in mind it has 100 bhp engine.
Suzuki Khyber is giving me around 9-10. Hence thinking to replace it.
