@zubair
i think he could not withstand a thread about Cultus thats past more than 31 pages of information exchange
if he would have gone through each n every page of this thread, i am sure he must never have posted his opinions in such a childish manner
No one claims Cultus is the best option... if you read the title post u may read:
i dont think the price of 8.33lacs these days is justified for cultus, 3 years back it used to be 5.90 (even then it was overpriced) so i always recommend everyone (who wana buy cultus) to go for a well-kept used one (like i did) rather than paying for a zero meter overpriced car with quality issues... early cultus were better built without any doubt & the interior was of superior quality too!
Cultus has now crossed 9 and a half lac,, I am happy because i paid under 4.5 lac for this car which is even less than half of what you pay for a new cultus.. the quality control of early Cultus was undoubtedly superior than what rolls out today, this has been discussed in previous pages so no need to repeat again. just a few examples.. the door rubber of a 2008 cultus started to hang of within 2 months, while it never happened with my 9 year old Cultus.. i went with my friend in his 2005 Cultus and the interior plastic was very thin & different from the early Cultus, the door mirrors were wobbling like hell while I cannot find any such thing in early Cultus models.. just 2 days a ago i had a chance to be in a 2007 Cultus of my colleague and it was a real sorry.. even he was surprised to see the quality of material used in the interior of 2000 Cultus to be far superior than the 2007 one! so nothing to praise "my car" here, its just a simple fact that cars in that era were better built than today! today i crossed 1 lac 73 thousand km on the "original clutch" of my 2000 Cultus... do u still think that a car done this much mileage on the original clutch is not a gem?
Then you said:
my swift 89 previous model is very much comfortable and has better interior material too
now you are saying the same thing which I say, & yet u criticize me
as far as "thak thak awazain" are concerned, do u expect a honda civic kind of drive from a 1000cc Suzuki? there are many irritating sounds but again i dont experience these sounds as i own a 2000 Cultus
actually he has upgraded from charade so cultus is looking gem to him ...
who on earth do u think "upgrades" to a Cultus from a Honda Civic or Corolla Altis?? ^o) & yes I am happy that i upgraded from charade, nothing to feel shy off! there is a difference when u get a 0 meter car from papa's pocket and sell it off within 20 thousand km giving a review like Clarkson how 'reliable' the car was... things are very different when u buy one from your hard earned money keeping in mind the finances and family! and that you have to keep a car running for years with you over more than 200 thousand kms.. do u math
comparing Cultus with a Vitz... there is no competition, Vitz is by far better & superior to a Cultus but then things suits u according to your pocket... its not necessary that a person having a wonderful experience with a Vitz would be an exactly same experience for me too.. i have to keep in my mind that my daily traveling is 60-80 kms in worst of driving conditions in karachi.. if i had a vitz the maintenance cost would have been 3 times more expensive than what i spend maintaining my cultus.. and i prefer having a glistering Cultus with me rather than having a busted Vitz which i cannot afford to maintain..
Kia Spectra is considered as a flop & people use to make fun of it.. despite this there are plenty of members like Saqib sb & the fan club that exist speaks the fact that the people who opt for spectra finds something in it which the normal civic or corolla doesn't offer! similarly Xli always gets bashed at PW, but Masroor sb (autophile) is one satisfied user of Corolla for his own reasons... nobody forces u to opt for the choice they made, its upto you, if you don't like it then leave it! & lastly if you think i am misguiding anyone and forcing anyone to buy a cultus please read the title post of this thread:
