hmmm...
almost 3K for the clutch/Gearbox.
and 1K for the lights.

Further here is some research i did on prices.
PowerWindows: 16K
New front Lights: 8K, 3.5K, 2.5K and 2.2K
Door Rubbers: 1600.
the Roof rubber: 1500.
The Clutch plate: 1400.

Now ther's a problem with the AC :(, i've to go for AC adjustment now.

congratulations zubair for the work done.. well 3 thousand isn't muh at all considering the work you have mentioned.. and as far as power windows are concerned i gave u the estimate of 12k and it was quoted in 2007, so 16k seems to be OK but im happy without them

my car so far hasn't gone through any of the things you have mentioned, just have to replace the clutch plate and pressure plate & its bearings in near future & the estimate i have been given is 3800 without labor.. do u think its ok?

Yes i got it at a quite good expense, actually there were only two small seals leaking (worth 160rs only), for that the whole gear box has to be opened, i told him to check any other wear and tear also. after inspection he told me that the clutch plate can work but with passage of time it'll erupt the pressure plate also and then i've to replace PressurePlate and Clutch bearing also so it is better to replace the plate now.
the estimate given to u is almost right i think. both the clutchplate + pressure plate will be worth something 3200+ and the rest for bearing and seals.

now my gear lever is not very smooth, can somebody tell why is it so?

its good that you have done the work prior to the damage. its always good to replace the parts before they actually need to be replaced. i will go for the clutch plate replacement within this week probably so will let u know the updates... i guess ur gear lever is hard due to the installation of new parts (perhaps) members who have gone through may be able to tell you exactly, i suspect it will become smoother over the period of time.

Yes, lets hope so...

I always change/repair things in their first indication of problem...

Now the silencer (Dabba) needs to be replaced,

a new one was 1600(good quality), 1200, 900(used but genuine type)...

@Lotus, can't get to ur point?
are you saying i got the work done cheap? then you may be right but only the mechanic got 1000rs for labor...
And im not complaining about that as i saw how much effort was involved in doing the task...

Silencer is not that expensive, he is asking you alot.

And for your not so smooth gear shifting, get your clutch cable adjusted

And yes, you got your car fixed for the right price, if you go and get it serviced from suzuki workshop, then you ll understand parts for suzuki are also alot more cheaper !

C123, it's not the silencer but the drum type thing just near the end. i'll try to take snaps of it to better explain.
the sound has started to change from normal now, so soon i've to change it... i'll go for the genuine one.

Usman, whats the status of your clutch plate replacement?. Do you use the blue box of shell?
