looks like you bought a sort of basket case, dont worry - you can get through it.
break down the jobs into different parts, e.g. you mention one wheel is hotter than the other, this problem is almost always related to the brake caliper (if disc) or drum mechanicals (if drum), there are tons of threads here explaining what is needed for a correct brake job. Get that info and find a mechanic who can use that info and apply it too. Mind you this can also be due to the rubber pipes near the wheels, If they are old - they can act like valves and drag the brakes.
Do this one step at a time, meaning, brake job in one step, steering/joints/suspension in one step. Do not try to mangle up multiple jobs at once.
