Its an mp3 player and has outputs for two extra speakers which maybe used for rear speakers but if somebody is going to go that route he/she would probably get a decent system with an amp. not me though, for me FM is enough.

Guys, its branded as Toyota / Daihatsu (obviously they did not manufacture it themselves) but there is no other info, front door speakers are connected as "front" and two empty audio jacks (red/white) (rear?) are unconnected, I tried connecting my friends iPod but figured it is output and not input.

If you want to connect a woofer you will need an amp and then you'll need to replace the door speakers as well and connect all speakers from the amp.

Creative used to manufacture a white 2.1 speaker system with a 12V power supply, I used them in my Mehran with more than acceptable audio by my standards.

Thanks for the info.
But as you said yourself Toyota/Daihatsu won't be making the player themselves, it should have a manufacturer.
Anyways.. i'll find out once i get me own cuore

There is no info on the player, I think it would be chinese so you can send the picture to all manufacturers in china hoping that somebody claims to be the father of it.

Anyways the make/model won't make a difference

don't tell me you never heard the term "branding", you can search for the HTC Blue Angel but no where to buy it but you can buy an i-mate PDA2k or a QTek 9090 or an Orange SPV M2000 or a T-Mobile MDA-III, because these guys branded the Blue Angel under these products.

Q: How much of the iPod did Apple manufacture?
A: nothing, blank, zilch, shuniay.

So if these guys are selling a Zi-kiang-koo t0982-mp3 as Daihatsu/Toyota MP3 how are you going to find out? As for the oper manual, I bet you can write a better one.

For utmost uselessness the player comes with a remote control. I used the Creative iNfra CD-Drive remote control for all purposes imaginable but IN A CAR? NO! Its as dangerous as a cell phone and anything can wait till the next red-light or use the shoulder.

I tried to explain what "branding" is, I chose a cell phone as an example which failed, so you could tell me the kind of work/job you do and I can come up with an example that you can understand, otherwise you can search google and see how marketing guys make a fool of a common man, maybe you are from marketing and don't want to get exposed

Anyways, cuore is not such a big car to require a remote but for those who dont mind can use it. I would rather swapped it for A/C ducts for rear seat passengers. 8)

All i had asked for was some info regarding the music player that cuore is giving now. and you took the discussion to pata nahi kidher .. but haven;t actually addressed the actual query

Now i am confused again
I've heard that the cd/mp3 player is only coming with the CX Automatic version, and not the CX ECO

is it so ??

its ma first eva gaddi, so me is a bit over excited about almost everything related to it

@jenius: I was in a similar situation about a year ago when I was waiting for mine, so I can understand, but rains started soon and I left my car parked for most of its first month (that time I was in Karachi).

I did not even know that I should expect a CD/mp3 player hence I was surprised and did not notice the remote in the dash for some time. So I bought a gadget which plugs in the cigarette lighter and takes any USB drive. It was a good deal for Rs. 1500/- and I have used it more than the Mp3 player because its easier to copy to a USB rather than burning CDs. And for the remote you can find a remote control version on www.beliscity.com for Rs. 2500/- it broadcasts on FM so you just need to have an FM radio.

Well I am not an audiophile but I still think its more than acceptable for the kind of speakers it has. Otherwise some of the mercs come with an SD/MMC slot

just noticed you in Isloo too, so why dont we meet up some time? If you are doing a job we can have lunch somewhere. And compared to Karachi everywhere is "nearby" in Islamabad at least for me.
