I had alto and i won't recommend that car to anyone. It may be better than Cuore in a number of factors, but when it comes to owning an Alto that is more than 4-5 years old, it will give you so much pain that you may prefer to be without any car rather than owning and maintaining it every week. I still remember those horror days.
The build quality and quality of parts is so poor that once your car's engine is opened, you'd get new problems such as overheating, heavy consumption of engine oil, water, gaskit problems etc so frequently, despite fixing it from a mechanic every week.
Word of advice. Buy a new Alto, if at all you wanna buy it, and then sell it in 2-3 years. If you want to buy more than 4-5 years old Alto, just be sure that the engine is never opened and there is no major work done on the car by any mechanic. Once the car goes to a mechanic, he'd most probably screwed it by fixing inferior quality parts.... and thus the need to go to mechanics every week.
And be sure that you maintain your car from the best mechanics and never compromise on car quality.
A better way to avoid all this is to just buy an automatic cuore and have a hassle free life.
