both are totally different cars.

cultus is very easy to maintain but not the best to drive.
vitz maintainence is expensive but good to drive.

in short if ur a carefree guy who just wants a car to drive around in whatever condition, go for the cultus.
but if u want a bit more comfort even though u know that these cars have already been driven 100000Kms n have the time to spend ur afternoons at shershah looking for used parts go for the vitz.

right now i too am in the middle of deciding which to buy. both have their pros n cons. cant make up my mnd which club to join.

are you forgetting something? ABS? Airbags? crumplezones? build quality?

the cultus may be cheaper to run but it's more likely to get in an accident and to get major damage from a minor bump. also the safetly features in the vitz make the choice a no-brainer unless you value resale over your own life.

storm bhai uv got a point there. but even if u crach a cultus it would only cost a few thousand to repair. this not the case with vitz.

vitz is absolutely a better car n has all safety equipment but here in karachi we barely make it upto 40km/h. we pakistanis been driving mehrans our whole life suddenly there comes a vitz n we get all carefully about safety when we know k we will barely leave a tortoise behind.

i wud say that cultus is a pretty safe car...ive hit my cultus a couple of times...once while i was in a drag.....hit a mazda 300 @ around 80km/hr.....front was totaled but the car absorbed all the impact and passenger compartant was intact(i was wearing a seat belt tho)
yes abs and airbags wud be better but u can work out the probability

you can't compare cultus with vitz!!

Driving in a country like Pakistan, we should first see the safety in car!

Vitz has got abs, airbags, seat belts(front + rear)

what is so good in cultus? it skids when you press brakes over 80km

cultus skids at every speed..the Suzuki cars are mostly without brakes !!!

vitz has got vvt-i engine which is way btter in performance compared to cultus cz it has only got an efi. and look at cultus shape m,an its like made of paper. such an ugly shape !!! suzuki is running out of shapes and everything. dey just cut da deck or margalla and put a hatchback to a margalla shape and dere u go a new name cultus...man it sux big time it cannot compete da luxury and performance shape and interior of vitz till da end of da world.....

cultus skids on stock tyres....i also totaled my car because of the same reason...sh*tty general 155 tyres provided by pak suzuki
the problem is solved by replacing them with any 175 tyres.....i used goodyear GPS 2 and had no problems in braking even from 150/160

i'm glad that you think that the general public is growing out of "resale resale resale", but the bottom line is that there is no debate:

1. our people are stupid sheep who will buy what everyone else is buying.

2. up until now we didn't have much choice except locally built garbage.

3. the vitz is a better car in all aspects when compared against most local cars.

I wish that some local person starts making the bumpers for these cars over here so then there will be no reason to even consider buying the archaic cultus,... it'll be the nail in it's coffin (FINALLY).

I DO however understand your point about the cheap parts a rear bumper for the vitz (from toyota) costs approx 20000 with paint.

yes you said right, i have vitz too, running smoothly. i want to know one thing to you about vitz digital meter, digital meter show your distance in Km or in miles, i think it shows in miles.

i have driven both cars, the vitz (old shape 2003) and the new one are two cars apart. you cant compar the feelings in both, the new one has a smooth gear shift and the dial pointer just purrs on your speedometer. i wondered why people dont buy the vitz than cultus, i guess new vitz cant be CNGified.
when you get in the vitz, it welcomes you and you feel like that it was built for you

well i'm glad that your intrested in vitz after viewing my thread you have choosen the right car to buy..but keep in mind that try to find a good car don't matter how much time it take..but get a original petrol car! auto transmission of the car is too good. width of the old shape vitz (1999-2004) is 1660mm with 3640mm lenght. Parts isn't a problem now.easily available..as far as price is concerned,keep in mind that genuine parts which have long life plus have incomparable quality! so they will cost a lil more..but serious a lil only...though car doesn't require any if have been taken care before and as well as after.

Vitz khappey, i noe im replying about years and years but the thot came in my mind.

Altho Vitz is a totaly different car, but ive heard the EFi Cultus gives the Vitz a hard time in a drag.
