I thin it would be a better idea to have 2 mufflers at the rear; 1 regular and the other straight through (loud).
the loud one should have a cable operated butterfly valve before it which could be operated from within the car.
a quote from Bohemia's song "kehna asaan okkha kar k wakhana"
the valve idea is simplest and the cheapest..
do you think u can control air pressure.......this cutout is good if a muffler is attached in front otherwise i think its all phut phut.......
I think if you have 2 mufflers at the rear, there shouldn't be any issue with the exhaust gases pressure
I never said my idea was the easiest Also, it has been done before. In some cars, this is a stock setup
Google might be your friend in this case
lollz.
wahts so funny?:S:S
this thing will create a bottle neck if u plan to connect it with the stock exaust, the sound will decrease just a lil bit as the headers and soundbox less piping wil create alot of noiseif u get this as i said earlier ur creating a bottle neck
in thar case go for it,or go for a hks silent exaust, almost silent at low revs n loud at high revs
arent there drawbacks of only aftermarket exhausts, i mean ive heard they shorten the engine life...
^^ engine's life is just under your feet...
getting an after market exhaust will not shorten engine's life..but when there is a loud exhaust at cars back yo'll try to rev. it hard at every chance you get....this will shorten its life...or else there is no harm in getting after market exhaust...
WOW this setup comes stock in some cars....i never knew it
THANKS for all the replies , Sharo 55 ur Comment was informative for me... but the manual thing is not the option i like, Because noisy exhaust would lead to a Chalan ... specially in Lahore, the traffic wardens are like " No Mercy" so there should be automatic switcher type thing so that on a Red signal i switch to Silent mode ... that's the biggest advantage one could gain through these electronic cutout exhaust .... so any solution for that ....
mara aj tak chalan nai hua because of exausts, bro has an evo n a supra with a 5inch straight piping,un ka b aj tak chalan nai hua n trust me those two cars r dam loud
Hello,I am looking for the same Exhaust Cut Out, where can I find it in Karachi???
I know its old thread but wanted to share my experience with xforce varex muffler.I am not fond of loud exhaust but my setup needes it. K24a3 Turbo. As it was my family car so i tried many solutions from USA made dynomax VT muffler, Dynomax Super Turbo muffler, Universal catalytic converters(high flow),resonators etc etc but at end Varex muffler was solution for me. ITs expensive:yes but worth it. (costed RS:75000) imported from AustraliaIt has a built in valve/cutout. when its closed the exhaust gases are routed in the chamber of muffler and pass three times before exiting, which make it quiet like a stock car.
