My friend sold his civic 08 vti oriel pros for 13,50K. So its not a BIG problem.

If his car worth's 90 lacs with original documents then he can EASILY sell his vehicle for like 60 lacs PLUS. Losing a book is not a SIN. Just tell him to hold on his breath and keep the vehicle until he comes across a reasonable buyer.

its a shame that your friend lost his Cyg's documents but is much more of a shame that people here are telling you to do 2 numbery and sell it by "fraud" yes thats what I would like to call it "Fraud".

if your friend has lost the originals that his luck and above all an azmaish from Allah. Ask your friend to accept it. if Allah has given your friend a 1 crore rupee vehicle (as some one here has estimated) that sure HE will give your friend the hosla and bardasht too.

Please excuse my harsh words but this is what our society has come to and that is why we are facing what we are facing today as a nation and as an ummah.

There is one simple thing that we sometimes neglect that we have to answer and pay for our deeds in this world or the here after. Its better to bare the losses here my friend!

May Allah Guide us and give us the courage to be honest with others as well as our selves.

my advice is. if u ppl have some strong contacts in excise and taxation. then there is one good solution. A duplicate book can be made and it will look like original as it will not have a stamp of "DUPLICATE". This can be done by some excise and taxation officer. coming to my point. yar thori bht khidmat karo un ki. i think they will do this job. well im not sure about this procedure. but i think this can be done as i had seen a car with this type of duplicate book belonging to my close family relative. :D. so try this if it works. it ill be a good job.

The juggar u suggested might work for the registratin book but would not work in case of sale certificate and sale invoice ( i don't know enough about the imported car's documents but there are some docs like original custom clearence etc). So there is hardly some way other to hide this fact.

Although if your friends manages to make all duplicate documents and registration book, personally for me it's not a big deal as far as we see a car just a car. But in Pakistan we cars are like assets and a marketable item which must fullfill the market demads whether its justifiable ot not.

Personally I had sold my 2002 VTi Oriel Prosmatis in better then showroom condition (better in a way a I had some additions in it), 78000 km and sold it for 650K just for the reason it had the duplicate invoice and sale certificate with original registration book.
