I also observed what you mentioned in your last post, but I don't see any correction being done .....I think the speedo has lost it's internal lock for the '0' position!

Another thing, Did you positioned the steering wheel at the right position? If not, get it done! It's very simple, get your car to a levelled straight (empty offcourse :)) road, locate the steering position while moving staright....it should be exactly centered, if not, stop the car, pull out the steering and refit after giving the required tilt.....

nice DIY sir.i did cleaning of my friend's khyber's meter the same way.but after i fixed it back,it shows high speeds.if ur cruising on 60Km/h, it wud show 80Km/h....i wanna know how did u fixed that problem?was it overcomed completely or still a lil error is preasent?plz explain a little...

It's amazing how much dirt accumulates in these cars over time. I did the meter of my cruiser a few years back (got really dark) i thought the bulbs were blown but when i opened it up i found that there was so much black dust in there that it had covered the bulbs (which were still working).

good job beeberg....thanks for no bar b que this time..lol. the cluster cover looks clean and fresh. what might help if someone is to do this next time is to use a dust blower...that will eliminate half of the effort in cleaning the dust.

if u cant find a dust blower...use a hair dryer. and by the way....did u find that that cabin air filter in your car yet?

the pic taken is about before the setting of its speedo meter guage. we set it in almost evening will post pics again.
and yes i positioned the steering other day. i sat with my father we drove on an empty road at around 2 am and positioned the steering in center. you are quite right about its tilting. thanks for suggestion bro.

its all about synchronization.
check your friends khyber's meter if its lock is broken. if you start the car and that guage starts moving itself (to n fro motion)
set the needle at zero, for this purpose take it out with soft hands and set it back positioning at zero. leave the needle if it sticks here dats good, if its goes down check whether you can adjust it more. do that.

now about its speed, some meters with bad reading shows 80km/h while going 70 km/h but same meter shows 60km/h while going same. so its all about synchronization.
check the speedo meter needle, service it fit it back the right way.
have a ride with your friend in other car and check if the other car is showing 50km/h how much your car is showing and the same way change the speed to 60 then check and 70. this will tell you how much difference you are getting.
(try it with some car that gives accurate reading)

i haven't checked mine yet coz of lack of time, but i am sure now it gives almost exact speed.

sameer bhai, thanks for showing here. you are quite right i was unable to clean the whole inner dashboard coz of lack of time. yesterday i got a cleaning liquid for car things. i will apply that on outer surface. you know lahore is quite dusty, so if you re going with opened windows u find dirt everywhere :s

and about cabin filter i didnt have got much time to see, will do it inshallah in coming weekend, but i didnt find any magazines dats i am sure about

indicator and wiper levers were working perfectly but dipper and head light one was not working at all and the mechanics did a direct wire with pull button screwed in dashboard.

anyways now its working perfectly. thanks to imranbhatti. i am very bad at electronics though i am telecom engineer but still i hate maths and its difficult for me to u/s electric boards.

the only problem is the middle double indicator button is not working, infact button is not present on console and inner switch if touched in certain position works. will go to bilal gunj to get a button for it too.

i am planning to visit bilal gunj this saturday, anything you want u can tell me saqib bhai, for fiat for spectra or for liteace.
