i'm not familiar with this model of car so i can't guide you on the filter. However again i should point out that this is a DIY thread for he vitz. Perhaps you should start a new thread and ask people about your car there. i'm sure someone else will be able to guide you.

these filters were first introduced late in the 90s (generally speaking)..like on most honda civics....there were no cabin air filters before 2001. i have a 99 and i dont have.

so lets enjoy inhaling all the dust and pollution from the outside.

Did you try opening Figure "A" the filter is in there. Dont wash it vaccum it, if u dont have a vaccum wash it but let it dry or else if you use the wet filter it will get choked faster.

i open cabin filter of my both vitz and platz and there is too much dust on filters . and i can say Mud on them

Isn't this the filter that could also be used in the current corolla shape?I mean the housing looks alike.Do u have any idea where I can find a new one as u know corollas come without ac filters

^no idea about corollas, but if you can't get a filter from toyota you can always make one by using the filters from a cooking range.

What i actually intended to know is that as you mentioned people who have very dirty filters could get theirs replaced.....you being a vitz owner could please inform me where i could find a vitz1?or which dealer keeps most vitz parts stocked....please explain the cooking range part probably i didnt come across a filter related to it.....its more limited to the cooks i presume.:-).although i surely know about that filter mentioned in the diy before relating to a corolla....thank you

you can order the vitz filter through toyota in abpara, or alternatively through various parts suppliers in KHI (contact altamash for further details & contacts)

as for the DIY filter, the part i'm talking about is the filter used in propper kitchen extractor fans not the plain exhaust fans we use in PK. this has been done a few times by members of the land rover and 4runner/surf forums i'm on.

there iz a shop named FILTER HOUSE at montgomery road in Lahore i bought a new leppon cabin filter from them for Rs 950 only.. i hope lahore ppl can resort to that place if they wanna new filter for their cars

best thign to do is to insert a vaccum in there and a brush to clean the fan. then go get a new filter from honda.

Yeah, I read this in the owner's manual and ever-since I am regularly maintaining my AC cabin filter.

Changed mine last month. Genuine Toyota filter would cost you Rs. 3500 from Rawalpindi. I got a BiTurbo (export quality) one for Rs. 250 instead. It works fine; no issue in AC throw or cooling.
