Dear all,

yesterday i visit to kohat from rawalpindi on my daewoo racer i face a little problem on my journey my disc pad nut was broken and i purchased a new nut and a mechanic near fatehjung replaced it with a new screw he told me that it cann't be repaired and you have to replace the whole hub that screw works i went to kohat and cameback safe and sound after that little problem that pad continously making noise while driving but when i hit the brake the sound finished what can be the problem and can it be repaired please suggest.

You mean the caliper bolt. If the bolt has slipped, the desi way is to re-thread the hole and put a bigger dia desi bolt. Alternatively, the best way is to change the assembly, that will cost you Rs.1.5-2K. The noise shows that either the bolts are loose and/or the piston kit has worn out. I think the mechanic must have temporarily put a desi bolt which should be properly handled at the earliest.

ap ne tint karaya hai, mein uterwane ke chakker mein hn, as the sun goes down quite early in winter, its diff to hav tint glass as makes reverse difficult!!!

Btw wats the cost??

it cost me 700rs
yup its lil dificult to reverse at night but still it looks cool and i prfer using side mirrors for reversing

finally i have installed 5 speed gearbox in my wooo....... the gearbox has been taken frm a complete kabli engine ...bcoz my mechanic said that most of the seperated gearboxes are changed frm 4 speed to 5 speed and repaired....i experienced no sound of gearbox...

gear box adjusted with old one cost 6500..without old one all of them demanding 9000....bought frm khair mohammad mitho khan market saddar
bought 5 speed shifter cost 700
replace the old clutch beering with new korian cost 850....
gear oil cost 800
labour cost 1000
i enjoyed 5 speed at motorway upto 160km/h on slop n 150 on straight....but my woo started vebling at 160...can any one have idea about this problem....

for wobbling issue , get checked it balancing from wheel allignment expert.

@786 : HAHAHA.nice one bro.par yaar yaha bohat kum logo ko hi patra hoga k fog light ka kaam kiya hai,au i want it as i have to install HID in it..filhal im using Civics fog lamp but they are nt giviing proper light,as daewoos fog lamp are larger then these.thats y i asked for it..so plz if u found any just let me know..

yes dear but the bolt is not there i went to mian khan autos and he fit a new one which is not genuine but it is working fine now the sound used to come is not there he solved the problem the same way you have diagnosed now he was saying that the gakit is weak i have to change that can you please suggest me the cost for all this work i want to replace it on urgent basis after this week i am going to multan on my woo.

Which gasket you are referring to? Did you mean to say caliper kit or the head gasket.

If you are asking about head gasket, the whole work will cost you around 3K provided the head does not need facing (if there is a history of heat ups, the head tends to slightly deform and needs to be faced).

If you are referring to caliper kit, it will cost you around 1.5K including labor.

It is the rubber kit for the brake assembly (caliper) including piston ring set and boots.

sir i am feeling my steering is little bit hard , and feel also some sound (as it feels dry ) like choon choon on full turn , both shock foundations r fine , which thing needs to lubricate to finish that sound.

Hello everybody,

I am having a weird problem. The engine check light turns on periodically and then turns off. I experience no problem. The car runs smoothly. I talked to my mechanic and he told that it happens and if everything is working fine, you dont need to worry.

I have been reading about it over Internet and according to that it could be a minor problem but there might be something very serious that could damage the engine. What could be the problem?

Also the car jolts a lot on non-smooth roads. What can I do to increase the comfort of the car? Should I go for new shocks?

Another thing, Clutch bearing broke a while ago. I got the whole kit replaced bearing, plates, etc. For couple of days the clutch was very soft and smooth. But now its again hardened. What you suggest?

wat about ur front absorber and shock foundation condition? wat about ball joint , steering assembly and chimta bushes condition? for this issue get checked it from wheele allighment expert , also get checked clutch and shock's condition by good mechanic.

ball joints were installed a few months ago and are in good condition. I dont know about rest :s. Wheel alignment should fix this.

I will take my car to that mechanic one more time and see...

just vist a good wheel allignment shop and only get checked its Hissa , and also visit a mechanic and take a test drive with him on bumpy and rough road ,
