Guys something bad happened. I was racing and i guess i pushed 3rd gear too hard @ 130 km/h. I switched off the OD button which i shouldn't have! There was a burning smell after slowing down. Is gearbox damaged or only gear oil needs to be changed? Car is back to normal; no smell or any gear shifting issues...

I replaced the original engine of my 98 Model Woo (2001 Reg) with that of Corolla 98 from Peshawar. Now dashboard gauges are non functional. Any guidance to get the gauges working?

Dear it is pleasant to see a sea of info about Daewoo here. I am new to the forum. Own a Daewoo Racer 93 which is Masha Allah going perfect. My problem is that the radio/deck current goes off frequently which is corrected by change of fuse by local electrician every week. Secondly in last week I changed bulbs of headlight from 55w to 100w to improve lights. The light is now good but for initial 2-3 days the radiator fan starts at full speed on ignition. This fan problem is no more there now. What should I do for radio/deck problem . Is there any good electrician in Jhelum, Gujrat or Gujranwala area. I live in Kharian. Thanx

I would recommend you to visit tahir at g8 islamabad. You can find his number in older posts of forum....
Probably wiring is short circuit at some point.....

He has a kind of computer in his shop meant for electric checkup of daewoo, honda etc. He asked me to leave my car with him on some spare day to get things done. I may drop on some day.

I pray he is right....
But diagnostic unit for daewoo is very different and rare item....
In rwp /isb i have seen just one guy with it.....
The regular diagnostic units do not work with daewoo although they share same port.....
In my opinion donot leave ur car to him
Stay with him when he is looking for fault....
A slight wrong connection by non daewoo electrician can cost you computer and may be new wiring......
So be carefull

Alhamdullillah sold my woo. It was sad to let it go but had no choice. I have some spare extra sensors that i purchased from abroad to keep as emergency spares (IACV (Rs.1400), CO (Rs.2000), MAP (Rs.1800), Distributor Module (Rs.1800), Distributor new cup Rs.450 and rotor Rs.350) with me to sell. I also have a daewoo genuine ODO (Without the RPM) with me (Replaced this original one with the ceilo one when i bought my woo 4 years ago). Lastly, i have a spare original double pipe radiator also (Found out it was repaired when i got the woo so replaced it just in case with new one to keep as spare. Will give away in reduced price). It is 100% working condition and helped me once when my new kabli one need a new side cover) If anyone interested in buying any of these then contact me on 0345-5114470. Thanks.

what your location ?if near islamababad/pindi will recommend you tahir @ g8 islamababad or khalid @ i 10 islamabad
my personal opinion is go for engine overhaul with genuine parts under your supervision
and buy parts from saddar rawalpindi and only pay labour at workshop ......

Search olx for daewoo parts you will come across some guy in lalazar area who makes fiber glass bumpers door pannels and repairs dashboard.....
Never personally visited him or observed his work...
You can check him out and his repair work and let us know with feed back....
